5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe dual language program has hurt the students. It is a very poorly-structured system that has led to very high turnover with teachers. We have recently lost a large amount of great teachers because of the poorly-implemented dual language program. The school puts any student with a learning or behavioral disorder in the english speaking class (there is 1 english class and 3 spanish classes per grade). This means the english classroom is full of all of the difficult children. This is not fair to the teachers, nor is it fair to the kids. No teacher can deal with that many challenging students in one room. No student can get the attention he/she needs. The only option the teachers have is to suck it up or quit. There is no evidence showing that the dual language program has provided any real benefit to the students. The people who implemented the program just wanted to pad their resume. They left the school after a few years, taking promotions or retiring, despite promising that they would stick it out for at least 5 years. This program is not about the students. It is about a few administrators who wanted to get promoted, and then abandoned the school before things got really bad.tl;dr; Congress Park was used as a pilot school for the dual language program without any thought for the teachers' or the kids' well being. The people who implemented it took promotions and left. Many teachers have quit. Things have just gotten worse for the students since the program was introduced.Parent Review4mo ago - Park Junior High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average2 of my 3 children have graduated from LT and 1 will start there soon. The ones who have gone to LT have found it to be challenging, supportive, full of caring teachers and staff, and a HUGE number of classes to choose from. They have gone on to be successful in college and ultimately that's what the goal is: to be successful in what comes AFTER high school. Lyons Township HS provided my kids with the tools to be successful after leaving, and one of my kids actually said that he seemed better prepared for college than some of his current classmates at his university.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 4009 Dubois Blvd.

"My neighborhood is great, it’s friendly, and nice. But it all depends where u live, and/or on which side of brookfield. Also most of the schools are horrible, and the children are very rude. I live on a ok street except we are the corner house and there is a truck company right next to us. So it gets loud at times. Our neighbor in the back plays loud music and shoots fireworks at night when we try to sleep, but the parks are well maintained, and nice."
