School leadership is not supportive of new teachers. Student behavior is not handled well. There is not a supportive structure for teachers to teach. Veteran teachers are dismissive of students with special needs and see them as lazy and not students who need help. They are not supportive of an inclusive environment. There is a petty nature to the members of the staff who have taught prior to special education legislation. Professionalism among the staff is low. If a student is failing, teachers "pass the buck". They do not take responsibility for their students learning, despite who the child may be. Special education services for the corporation as a whole are not overseen by a third-party agency but is run solely by central office staff. School leadership is overbearing, and administrative staff is unkind.

My daughter spent 2 years in TZ and absolutely loved it, especially the care and dedication shown by the teachers who tailored the program to meet the individual needs of the children. Despite now attending a school with a higher rating in another city, she still feels upset and we miss TZ and the peaceful town of Greencastle.
