Teachers, staff and principal are top notch. This is an amazing school and community.

Special needs kids are EXCLUDED from having an EQUAL experience. Only a school for rich, able and well connected.

An experience at this school really depends on the type of person. If you're from/around Wheaton and are rather extroverted, you'll be fine. The teachers do try and care about their students but some can be a bit harsh. I had an exceptional experience here and it 100% is a school that rewards hard work rather than giving the bare minimum. Bullying is a little bit of an issue but not too bad; what to generally expect from middle school kids who have big egos. The school provided a good approach to special-education, allowing those students to interact with the general population while also getting the accommodations they need. Homework wasn't handed out often in my experience but advanced courses tend to get more homework. The building is old and while I was there, there was some minor safety/maintenance issues (sewer issues, occasional electrical issues, minor flooding.)Overall a good school.
