Description

A rare opportunity! Beautiful, peaceful, private, and spacious tri-level Headlands townhome with panoramic view of the Bay and Mt Tam. The same views as if you lived in Belvedere!

If you want to be close to San Francisco with easy and fast access to 101, yet be close to nature, this is the townhouse for you. There are beautiful trails for hiking, cycling, or walking your dog, and quick access to kayaking and paddle boarding on Richardson Bay. This townhouse is located in the heart of the Marin Headlands, is peaceful, safe, and the community consists of friendly long-time residents. Temperatures are mild all year long and air conditioning isn't needed in the hot months, saving you electricity costs.

Approaching the property, you will be captivated by gorgeous shaker siding, lush greenery, cherry blossoms and other blooming trees in spring, many tree colors in fall. The entryway is conveniently covered.

The interior is no less beautiful.
The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the Bay. The second bedroom views a private area with trees and greenery. The third bedroom views the Bay and has direct access to open space. It can be a bedroom, an office, or an exercise room. There are no carpets anywhere except in the stairs, therefore all flooring is easy to keep clean if you have kids or pets.

A bar area between the kitchen and dining room, and a sunken living room with fireplace and access to a deck, are perfect for entertaining.

Cathedral ceilings, tall windows, and a skylight provide plenty of natural lighting all day.

The townhouse comes with many closets in all rooms. The attic provides ample storage space, and includes metal shelves and closets for your convenience.

The refrigerator and the dishwasher were purchased 2 years ago. All the other appliances and the water heater are 5 years old, as well as the countertops and floorings. The entrance, kitchen, and dining room have beautiful original hardwood floors.
All locks rekeyed or changed. Double pane windows in the kitchen, 3rd bedroom, and master bedroom.
The patio at the bottom of the townhouse is repaved.

Parking: the HOA allows one designated space in carport, and one non-designated space in the cul-de-sac for each townhouse, and there also is ample parking space for temporary guests.

To apply please contact the owner. Application forms for this townhouse are not available on Zillow.

Owner pays HOA dues, which include water, trash removal, and landscaping.

Pets are evaluated on a case by case basis. Unless you have very large dogs that may scratch the floors, or destructive cats that may scratch cabinets or walls, additional deposit is not taken for pets.

Maximum 2 occupants above driving age as there is space for only a maximum of 2 cars.
Also the water and gargage pick up are shared by the community (and paid for via my HOA fees), and all of the town houses are occupied by no more than one or two occupants, more than two driving occupants in each townhouse would throw off the costs and comfort (too many cars, noise, etc.) of the entire HOA community.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources. This description is from March 02, 2025

"It’s a great neighborhood to walk in but there are not a lot of sidewalks. So you have to constantly listen for cars, which unfortunately are often driven too fast without a lot of considerations for pedestrians.. "
  • Shawna
"Small streets and cars can get close when walking dogs. But most people are very pet friendly and like seeing the dogs"
  • Megan M.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 5 years. I'm looking to move into a larger house and I know I want to stay in Sausalito. It's convenient to get to central and northern Marin as well as close enough to SF. Having the water so close by is wonderful!"
  • Megan M.
"Super easy. I commute against rush hour traffic each direction. Right now I am working from home, so I do not commute at all. "

"Lots of fun kiddo things to do. Bad grade school (K-5th) public schools. The middle school and high schools are in the next city up ( one exit) and are quite good. Otherwise, the southern marin mothers group is very active here for noms of young kids and there are several fantastic private school for all educational philosophies. Overall, a great city for kids. Lots of tourist activity, but strong neighbor support. Lots of parks public spaces and restaurants that are kid friendly. "
  • Jorge P.
