The School itself is very nice as well as most of the faculty. For the most part each teacher wants you to succeed. The Faculty is always there to help you or talk to you. The Student body is very large and all eat lunch together which results in many problems and bullying. Overall, Hurricane is a great school.

I agree with the parent who gave the school 1 star. There are exceptional teachers at this school, however there are others who are just going through the motions. My child has been demeaned by a teacher and has heard other students demeaned by the same and other teachers. My student has a teacher who loses student's work on her extremely messy desk and rolls around the room in her chair to teach. This same teacher mispronounces common words and grades my child's accurate homework as incorrect. The parking and drop off at the school is probably the worst I have ever seen. Dangerous to the students and a huge time delay to the community.

My daughter went here for Kindergarten and was in the "special needs/autism room" due to some behavioral issues. The "autism" teacher acted like she had never dealt with a child on the spectrum. She was inept at her job at best and abusive at worst. The principal was not any better. They said "she needs to learn to control herself" or "she will have to go to another school." She is on the spectrum, and for them to say "she needs to learn or else" is absolutely unacceptable. We finished out the school year and transferred her out of that joke of a school.
