JP Stevens is a great school that prepares you for success! The school has excellent facilities and a great infrastructure.

The school teachers are overwhelmed with too many students per teacher. The curriculum is slightly below that of other districts. The main issue with the school is that bullying incidents are not taken seriously with the councilor providing little or no support. There is no monitoring in place to prevent incidents from happening. The bullying often involves physical abuse which is then dealt with a warning or suspension. Our experience has been bobas at this school and I had to switch my child to a private institution because I was worried about the culture at the school.

This review is primarily for one 5th grade teacher by the name of Sonal Patel. I'm not sure if it's because she is new or something else but she invests a lot of time in the appearance of her classroom but not in her teaching. Many parents with students in the class share my same opinion. We collectively brought it up to admin. but nothing has been done so far. My son had an amazing teacher last year and progressed so much but this year things have been going downhill. If you're looking for someone who has a great classroom decor then Sonal Patel is your teacher but keep in mind that she doesn't know how to teach.

My son is 3 years who just started this school. I must say the staff of bus service and school teacher is excellent. He has speech delay issue but i can see him already talking when he comes home from school. I must recommand this school to anyone with speech delay.
