8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe reputation of The Clarkstown School District is largely a myth. If your child requires any kind of support, accommodations, or encouragement, then you are out of luck. The teachers (for the most part) at Clarkstown South are mailing it in. Considering the school taxes that you are paying in Clarkstown, the poor quality of education your child will receive (unless already a good student), is criminal. Consider private school and save you and your child years of grief and heartbreak.Parent Review3y ago8 Reviews - Link Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids are thriving at Link elementary. They have great teachers that get to know the students incredibly well and give them the tools they need to succeed. There is a very active PTA that puts on great activities for the students and families. The students have Spanish, band and art classes. We are very happy to be a part of the Link community.Parent Review9mo ago7 Reviews - Felix Festa Character Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHellish. Teachers listen to the students half the time MHand the other time you’re SOL. The principal (Dr St John as of March 2026) is a lovely person. They pretend to ease you in and by the end of the first month of 6th grade you have 1.5 hours of homework. Bullying is rampant. I’ve been called slurs not even used for my ethnicity, I’ve been beat up to the point of tears. I have met multiple people that are homophobic, the food is bad, the buses suck, and the past few years have been torture.Student Review4mo ago6 Reviews - Felix Festa Determination Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school! Excellent teachers and principals. If your child is an honored student they have many enriched classes. Also If your child needs more help the have classes so your children can get more help! The guidance counselor are helpful and kind. I if they call it a school physiologic or counselor but they are very sweet and help you a lot! I guess the challenging academic programs is enriched programs which they do have. I would recommend to send your child to this school!Other Review15y ago2 Reviews - Felix Festa Achievement Middle School

"I still live and have raised four children here in Nanuet for more than 30 years. We have safe neighborhoods and award winning schools. Walk ability number is high. Transportation could not be better. We have a train station and buses that transport us daily in and out of NYC. Nanuet is less than a 45 minute drive to three international airports. Top notch utility services. "
