7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school. The only downside is that it is a little rough when trying to maintain an IEP or 504 plan for a child with special needs, but once you get through the meeting and keep it in place when you need it, they do great on working with the child. For emotional or mental health support, the school counselor is very involved. Most teachers are great and communicate well. They try to motivate and make learning a little more fun. I do feel that sometimes the homework work load is TOO MUCH compared to when I attended middle school. But I think they are trying to work on this from what I see. The current principal (and assistant principal) are both very involved as well and always upbeat. They do take things seriously when needed though. The school tries to ramp up school spirit, which is always fun. The elective class choices they have now (that I totally wish I had when I was in school) are fantastic! For example, they have engineering and my son really enjoyed that as he is a “hands on” type of kid. I feel that the school is safe and in a great location. My son really enjoys Genoa. I would happily send any future children I might have here as well and would definitely stay in the district.Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Fouse Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was a fantastic school! My son absolutely loved it there. The teachers are very involved and communicate well when needed. The school counselor is very involved. Getting my child’s accommodations in place with his IEP was smooth, and the intervention specialist they have is awesome! My son made a huge improvement with the help he had at this school, and when he transitioned to middle school, it was a breeze. There was little to no bullying, and I feel when there was, it was handled well. I’ve always loved how diverse Westerville schools are in general as well. My son claims that for most of his time there, learning was ok and most teachers made it fun. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Fouse. If I have anymore kids, I would love for them to attend.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Westerville Central High School

"Commute to downtown is not fun with rush hour. A normally 20 minute drive takes an hour. $25+ for an uber one way downtown. It’s nice if you spend most of your time in this area, but not ideal if you like to be in the city."
