Educators at this site are eager to make change for the betterment of their students and community. Academically, educators have agreed to up the rigor across the board. Educators continue to build on their social emotional learning instruction so the needs of the whole student are met. Chemawa's athletic programs are second to none as students are being prepped for high school and collegiate competition. While there is always room for improvement and more work to be done, educators at Chemawa are excited to do the work. The school can be a little intimidating once you are new, but if you are friendly and talk to people you find nice, you will feel more confident there. However, there are a few issues of drama since there are a few bullies that occasionally harass you, but if you find a way to make peace and chill a little, they can be pretty nice and smart. The staff is nice and the teachers are very kind and will help you with anything. "I have lived here 16 years. It’s quiet and we do have a lot of walkers in the mornings and evenings which is nice. There are still a few rough houses but most people are maintaining and improving their vehicles. We do see an occasional person parking on their grass but almost everyone has 2-3 vehicles and is responsible and respectful of others. We do have a mail thief but I bought a locking mailbox so no worries there."

"I drive my own car but if I didn’t have a car I could easily go downtown by getting on the metro. There is a bus stop walking distance from my house. I’ve never taken the city bus and might be a little frightened at first as I’ve seen some questionable people on the bus. I have taken the train and that seems pretty safe to me but you never know.
