"Decent neighborhood. Some suspicious activity in surrounding neighborhoods as seen on the ring app. But pretty good overall. Lots of schools nearby so there’s usually kids out and playing. Friendly neighbors for the most part and a couple of shopping centers within 10 minutes. Can’t complain :) "
  • Kay strom
"we have bbqs for all the homeless so they have food to eat and their families! The business owners all watch out for each other against theft and loitering and drugs!"
  • Trulia User
"There aren’t any community events that make it special here. I don’t like living here and if I could afford to live somewhere else, I would. I don’t recommend living here."
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood is central to my job and is easy to get to where I’m going. Easy and fast, I have lived here for six years now."
  • Trulia User
"easy access to multiple freeways. 10- 20 mins for almost anything in sac. Roseville and Orangevale just a 15-20 min drive. folsom lake only 30 mins"
  • Trulia User
"It’s an older established community with lots of older people. There are schools within walking distance."
  • Trulia User
"the people that live in the area make it unique always something to see and to be aware of. great neighbors in this community as well "
  • Trulia User
"In the area which I live, Hillsdale near I-80, which technically borders on North Highlands the streets are busy, dirty, littered with trash etc. There is only one major park in the area (Robert Frost Park) and I’ve nears many people let their dogs run off-lease here. I personally never walk my dog in this neighborhood, which is sad. Fortunately; he’s little and old and has a good sized yard to run around in so he gets enough exercise. But I’d like to feel like walking him in my neighborhood would be safe and pleasant, but honestly I don’t."
  • Trulia User
"just add 30 or more to your destination time and hope there's no accidents on the way to where you're going. Hit and runs are mentioned alot, I have experienced two in front off my house. Speed pumps everywhere and driver don't slow down for them neither. "
  • Curtis.burd
"This neighborhood has many pocket neighborhoods that are nice with a few bad apples over all my neighbors are friendly and several of them walk their dogs and keep up on their own houses... "
  • 9166.blondie
"Not too bad; light traffic in the mornings and early evenings. It is close to the freeway which makes for any easy drive to anywhere in the area."
  • Tracy G.
"easy freeway access. I used to live here in area years ago. Now I work in North Highlands, as a private home caregiver. "
  • Cathryn R.
"north highlands can be a nice place to leave but there are some areas that are considered bad. it is a nice place to grow up in a good neighborhood. "
  • Bonnie J. H.
"We have vehicles Everything pretty close. A lot of people on bikes and light rail is pretty close and there is a bus roughy to light rail."
  • Ilene T.
"It’s not a good neighborhood. Very dirty and people are rude. They are disrespectful and still all the time from others."
  • Bridget L.
"The neighborhood I live in is great and has fast foods, food stores, gas station, and Walmart in walking distance."
  • Claudia G.
"I never see dogs or neighbors walking their dogs around this neighborhood. and I always see stupid drivers driving around burning rubber like maniacs"
  • Claudia G.
"there are many families in this area....they look friendly, but not always, they could look mean too."
  • Tabitha
"My family own our home since 1952 it use to be veteran neighbourhood but now there is nothing but crack heads and trailer trash. The neighborhood changed a lot. now we hope there is more proud homeowners and no more renters. People who rent here devalue the homes. But maybe the Bay area people start to come and change this place for the better."
  • Kaelyndye63
"lots of trees in the areas, and lots of dogs to pee on them lol other than that I don't know people personally, I'm not that friendly to people, I always greet the animals first :)"
  • Jennward2012
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood off and on for five years. It’s gotten much much better however I like closer to Antelope. I love on a busy street but two blocks back it’s very quiet. There is a sense of community and people want to improve our neighborhood and make it safer. "
  • Falconboy62
"none so far. prostitute busts and drug dealer chases! sometimes we get shootings or domestic violence within the neighborhood! "
  • Kathy C.
"I’ve lived here for years 10 1/2 yrs. it has changed a lot over the years. It has become a safe place to live. "
  • Veronica P. A.
"I see people walking their dogs and most people have fence around the front yard so it’s pretty cool."
  • Neighbor
"Don’t let your kids walk outside without parent company. Traffic often run red lights and are not watchful on corners. Lots of homeless roaming around. "
  • Sean Jackson
"My neighbors on my street are very neighbourly we all watch out for each other. I have lived here for 13 years and have developed a very strong bond with the people around me"

  • Rosa28david
