We have had an extremely positive experience with very few issues. The staff have been helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our child's growth and learning have accelerated every single year and that doesn't seem to be slowing down. As of this writing, the school has been recently renovated and the new learning spaces are very appreciated.I have witnessed one staff member who was a tad slow in taking appropriate action to accommodate a disability, and it was clear the administration wasn't going to play those games. There is a reason Littlewood feels so friendly - there is a top-down and bottom-up culture of care that is pervasive throughout the school.There is an active PTA if one wishes to participate. The plays/productions the students put on are really good - you can tell there is passion coming from the teaching staff. My child's artwork amazes every time (I'm too not delusional - it's just I know I couldn't do the things I'm seeing come home). Plenty of school spirit events occur throughout the year.Security is a priority for the staff - the principal insisted on limiting pedestrian access while at the temporary school and that focus on keeping the kids safe has continued through the transition back to the primary campus. No parent or guardian is going to be able to gain access to the campus without the expressed consent of the front office staff. If a parent is in the classroom area, it is either because the front office screened that individual and allowed it or that parent has forced their way onto campus (something the school resource officer will get to deal with).In closing, I'm sure everyone's experiences are unique, but I cannot see how someone could dislike what is going on at the school. We've had to stay on top of things to make sure they're done, but that's the job of every parent. Overall they bend over backwards to make you feel heard and supported.

This school is not bad, however it is not great.For starting there was construction going on for forever and we were in a temporary school that was not that big. Yes we have a brand new school next year not to mention the 8th graders from last year are gone.But continuing, there were a lot of fights, things involved with authorities, people getting hurt often, so much screaming and to many people crowding. It was the definition of unsafe. The teachers are OK but need work and there was little family involvement. Hopefully next year will be better.

As a student of GHS, I believe serious changes should be made. There is mold in some of the bathrooms and classrooms, and the school often smells like the sewer. That’s not a healthy environment for students or staff.Since the new principal arrived, pep rallies have been taken away, making the school feel more like a boot camp than a place for learning and connection. School is meant for education, yes, but it should also be positive and memorable experience for teenagers. We deserve a balance between learning and enjoyment.It also feels like teachers aren’t being properly supported, and changes only happen when parents step in. As this is my last year, I wanted it to be one I could remember fondly, but instead, it feels depressing and dull.GHS needs improvements: more parking spaces, cleaner facilities, better maintenance , and the return of fun activities that bring students together — like pep rallies. If so much is being taken away, at least give us that. Students deserve a safe, fun, and motivating environment to learn in.
