2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Burke for a couple of months as a freshman. I repeated the 8th grade, I am far behind on my education.I am disabled. At the time, I was hardly diagnosed with anything. I have FND, I am autistic with ADHD.They don't care about the disabled people who have lower support needs. They thought because I am able to walk, speak and learn that I don't need any help. They answered the questions for me during my physical evaluation. This lady made me exhaust myself going up a flight of stairs and back down, exactly how I said it would. She wrote down that I had little to no struggle with stairs. If your child needs accomodations and they have an invisible or undiagnosed disability, do not send your kid here.Other Review11mo ago8 Reviews - Morton Magnet Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTHIS IS THE WROST SCHOOL EVER!!! I’m a student at Morton, but this is worst school you can bring your child. This school will strip away their innocence, and your child will come home crying possibly everyday, some may still come to this school but this is what you should watch out for if you truly care about you children(s). There’s a fight everyday at this school, they even have a page about it on Instagram. Random people you don’t even know would want to fight you/ or start rumors about you. I’ve tried to leave a review about this school on google and my review got deleted. The staff here don’t care about your education because they are scared themselves. They don’t care about your health, feelings nor safety, they just want you in a school to get a government check. also This school is not for the weak, because if your scared of getting in drama or fights please do not come here. The first semester of this school was great, but after first semester everything went down hill. I’ve started getting so many threats about people we’re gonna jump me/fight me. People even started finding my number and texting me. I’ve told the counselor, the principal, and assistant principal, my parents have even come up to the school to complain, they try to flip the situation on you. So please do not send your child here there’s much better options.Student Review2y ago6 Reviews - Sunny Slope Elementary School

"I don’t know any special things. I just live here because it’s cheap for my family. I’m sure there are plenty of activities. "

"We’ve had a mixed experience living in this neighborhood. On the positive side, it’s a beautiful, established area with mature trees and a surprising amount of wildlife. There are also a few truly kind and welcoming neighbors who make a real effort to build community. That said, the overall environment can feel very tense. Some neighbors are quick to report minor issues, and there seems to be a strong focus on enforcement rather than communication. We’ve experienced situations where concerns were escalated to the city almost immediately, rather than neighbors talking directly with each other first. For example, after a storm knocked down a tree on our property, we received a notice to remove it within 30 days—but it was difficult to even get a tree service scheduled in that timeframe. Situations like that can feel frustrating, especially when you’re already dealing with unexpected damage. There have also been instances where notes were left rather than having a conversation, which can make the neighborhood feel less welcoming. Overall, it’s a visually lovely neighborhood, but the experience can depend heavily on neighbor interactions. For those considering moving here, it may be worth understanding the expectations and level of enforcement ahead of time."
