8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended Kindergarten and 1st grade at Brandt before we moved away. We had a great kindergarten - teacher was nice and helpful, school was welcoming and there were a variety of community events. 1st grade was so so. The teacher was less effective and my child's progress slowed. At the same time the classroom was pretty chaotic with (20 kids and 1 teacher). My child had a best friend in class. My child came home one day and started telling me all kinds of negative about her bestie. Apparently the teacher told my child that she should not play with the other kid (??!!). Aftercare had a lot of variety but the quality is hit and miss. The building is a little old and lighting is not great. There's a large indoor gymnasium and small rooftop playground for recess. PTO can be a little intense at times.. Classroom donations, in theory voluntary, can also be intense at times..Parent Review1mo ago - Wallace No. 6 Elementary School
