1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis has to be the worst highschool in the district. 90% teachers here are not even responsible enough to teach you anything and instead give you either absolutely nothing or little assignments that aren’t learned from. In top of that half the teachers are frustrated by the smallest things like they have a tough work life when all they do it click a button and sit back for each period while students learn nothing. By the end of the year I can guarantee after spending a year in Dickinson (if you can) you will not have remembered anything if you were lucky enough to actually be taught something. The security guards are so secure for no reason, they don’t allow you to go through certain gates or enter the building at certain times. It’s all a gimmick to make you believe that they actually have good security and are professionals, but the metal detector is off half of the damn time. I notice this because the detector will light up indicating that it’s on, for some unknown reason they just turn it off at times and put the school at risk to having someone just waltz in with a gun if they feel like it. On top of that, the metal detector is faulty. Sometimes you can have metal on you and it will still go through with no problem. You can bring a gun to school but not an opened water bottle. On top of this, they try to secure their fake professionalism by checking your bags before entering the building, however they don’t. They pat the bag and let you go. If you’re lucky, they will look inside one pocket. This school is a ridiculous safety hazard and they know how horrible of a school they are so they try and save face by doing all these things to make them look professional but they are far from it. This school is beyond repair, going to this school will risk your life, college readiness, and mental health. Sitting around rotting in a chair for 6 hours doing absolutely nothing with kids who haven’t been given the proper training to go out and treat others with respect and courtesy will eat at you slowly. The sports are even worse. You will learn nothing but how to waste 4 years of your life not even learning the proper material for college. I’m not saying highschool is useless, I’m saying this highschool doesn’t teach you jack diddly squat. PLEASE aim for a better school and don’t burden yourself by dealing with this disaster of a school.Student Review2y ago18 Reviews - Jotham W. Wakeman No. 6 Elementary School

"The bus is really accessible and easy to navigate. The path is a bit harder to get to but overall the commute to north Hoboken and downtown are easy enough. Having a car helps, but parking can be a bit of a challenge. The heights is super walkable and most things that you need are within a walking distance. "

It is an up an coming neighborhood with easy access to Manhattan via public transportation or car. There’s great food trucks in RiverView park in the spring and summer time. Also the Heights has great local restaurants like The Hutton bar and Grill and Low Fidelity."
