Description

FSBO - I am setting up site visits for early February, while I am in Northern Nevada for a few weeks. UPDATED the phone number with my cell #. Recently closed on the home I am purchased out of state.
2 Bedroom, 2 Bath Mobile Home on 20 acres. Off Grid, has an alternative energy system of solar (7000 Watts) and 1.5 kw wind turbine for power most of the property power needs with backup generator. Most everything inside the house has been redone, fresh paint, vinyl double pane windows throughout the home, drywall in many rooms, vinyl flooring in Master Bedroom and Bathroom, Bamboo flooring in #2 Bedroom, hardwood laminate in Living Room and many of the exterior projects completed. 100% White Silicone roof coating applied last fall, all new PEX plumbing a couple years ago.
Space for all the toys, or horses (large metal loafing shed) and other critters. Great view of the lake and property has numerous trees for shade and greenery. Good well, septic recently pumped.
New Carport on a concrete slab just completed 7/12/2023.
Arrangements can be made to do a site visit. Some of the photos are new; others are from the many photos I have taken over the recent times. Have lots of other photos if you wanted more or something particular to see, I probably have one or two just ask.
Owner will possibly carry the paper with a good sized down payment ($20-25K) and short term (10-15 years), reasonable interest rate (depends on down and term). A huge savings of not going through a lender/bank ($5-7000 savings). Send me a message and I will give you my email and phone number and we can talk it over. Prior arrangements need to be made for a site visit. Serious inquiries only. . . .don't waste my time or yours.
This is the kind of place that takes an active participant, always chores to do and things to maintain and room for the hobbies etc. I built most of the things and it is not difficult to do the maintenance and upkeep, plus some added features that make it simpler to do the chores. Alternative energy system is owned and not leased, over $25K invested in this and 87% of the work done to install my labor, so to try and contract this out would be nearly double what I have invested.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is amazing. It has classes that I wish were offered when I was in High School. Every time I have gone to the school, the students and staff are kind and receptive to me. I just have to call and ask, and they answer my questions. My kids love the school and the courses they offer. My child chose not to participate in the Jump Start program but loves the AP class choices, and the electives. Way to go!Parent Review6y ago - Churchill County Jr. High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeacher quality on average is pretty poor. I think some of the ratings on this website were either the teachers themselves or local realtors. The teachers are however proficient in Facebook and failing to respond to emails. They do sell Red Bull so at least the kids stay awake.Parent Review13y ago - E C Best Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy grandson went to this school for one year...he had been diagnosed with one of the Autism spectrum disorders...the principal and others placed him in a room (cell), facing toward the inner wall, to just sit there by himself for the majority of the day...acted as if he was some sort of animal, out of sight, out of mind...we would never recommend this school for its backward thinking and lack of knowledge in the instruction of children with such disorders...keep your child safe and home school him/her if you live in Fallon, and have a disabled child.Other Review7y ago - Lahontan Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal Hogan is the biggest issue of this school. He doesn't really care when the teachers are doing wrong, he over stresses the good teachers. When you talk to him about a concern it goes in one ear and out another. For some reason he seems set on keeping people out of the school, even student teachers. Get rid of the principal and the school would likely do much better all around. We however, are taking our children out of this school.Parent Review9y ago - Numa Elementary School

"Fallon is a great, rural community to live in. It has a great public charter school to attend that is K-12. The city has pockets of neighborhoods that needs to be improved, but overall people care & take care of their homes. "

"This is a great area. Close to everything, friendly, quiet and clean. Perfect neighborhood to raise a family or just enjoy a little quiet time. Close to everything and within walking distance of schools and parks. There are running and walking trails nearby. The traffic is minimal and it is a just an altogether great area! "

"I work and live here. Fallon is a nice place to raise a family; the location also hosts many people in transition, whether because of involvement with the military, or, simply passing through. The desert nights always cool the summer heat and provide a beautiful canopy of lights year round. There is a modern and well-staffed retirement facility and a local hospital in town. Come for a visit!"

"I work and live in Fallon. This small town is on the positive side of city improvements, especially at the intersecting streets for downtown which include new lighting, trees, landscaping with new sidewalks....and, for that matter, a systematic improvement for all intersections in the city that are handicap accessible with lowered lips on curbs for wheelchairs. NAS Fallon seems to be increasing in business with approvals for more flight training in the next three years. Churchill County (inclusive of the city of Fallon) is just completing a dry milk processing plant which recently increased the plans, and activities of many local ranchers/dairies. This old town in the old west offers great opportunities for raising children with proximity to larger cities. "
