We’ve been very impressed with Sunrise Elementary. The Quest program is strong and engaging — my kids are learning real math depth while still having fun.The building is new and clean, and communication from leadership is consistent and clear. Teachers genuinely seem happy to be there and often refer to each other as the “Sunrise family,” which reflects the positive culture.The music program for 5th and 6th graders is well supported, with options for choir, orchestra, or band. The art program is also a highlight. PTA events like Trunk or Treat make the community feel connected.Overall, Sunrise offers a thoughtful, well-rounded experience for families who value both academics and enrichment.

This School needs to go back to school and learn how to be a great school again. Principal does not care about bullying. Most students with an learning disabilities are dismissed and ignored. If you try to advance any situation to the district they will stand behind their schools, instead of correcting any issues. They have security guards, metal detectors and vaping is ignored.

This is one of the worst schools in Puyallup School District. They are discriminatory, racist, and do not provide the necessary supports for there students. This includes students with disabilities and students of ethnic background. The students are targeted by the teachers. For example, my student was held back after school and her only way of transportstion is the school bus home. They new she was a bus rider. She has rode the bus for all 3 years and all her time in Puyallup School District. She was still held and I had to pick up from school. I glad that I was able to leave to go pick her up. She was held so the teacher could talk to her. She was not in trouble and never have been a behavior issue in school. School is supposed to be a safe place for every student. School is supposed to be the union between parents and students. It should not be punitive. Emeraldridge school culture is punitive though. I do not recommend sending your children here. They lack diversity and cultural sensitivitiy as well. This is the short version. There is way more incidents to tell but not enough space or time on an online platform. I gove them a 2/10. That 2 is for the very few teachers that care.
