"You can get to downtown SF in about 40 min on the Golden Gate transit bus. Easily accessible and affordable."
  • Trulia User
"The roads are narrow with tight turns. People regularly speed especially to drop kids at the school, so it can be dangerous for walking. There do seem to be a good number of young families, but you rarely see them since the neighborhood is so hilly and winding. There’s very little diversity, but that can be said for Mill Valley as a whole. Overall the views can be great and it’s peaceful, but the community isn’t warm and fuzzy. "
  • Augie P.
"Very quiet and safe area, many families and kids of all ages are here, there are 2 dog parks//playground within walking distance of our apartment "
  • Cari D.
"I’ve lived in the area for 6 years and absolutely adore it. Such a sense of community. BEAUTIFUL area, fruit trees on every corner, close to everything. "
  • Michael
"Many open space trail options for dogs (and their owners) including trails with amazing bay views and some that are off-leash."

"Like most of my neighbors, I have lived in this sunny and magical home and town for many years (32) and am leaving only to live part-time in Italy and with family in Florida. The extraordinary Redwood forest beauty of our town and our ease of being active neighbors for all sorts of causes and activities is wonderful. Our easy access to hours and hours of local, state and national hiking rail systems is hard to believe since we are so close to San Francisco!"
  • Pat H.
