I drove past Cash school several months ago and I was truly impressed by the size of the school now days. Hopefully some day when I get back to phoenix I'll have a chance to stop and with a little luck the staff will give me a look around.Other Review4y ago8 Reviews - Vista del Sur Accelerated Academy

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI loved this school because they have an amazing sports program, the academics there are amazing, and the whole Vista community is very awesome and engaging. Kids that may need therapy are treated here because the counselors are very nice and help you. The academics at vista are VERY high because it is an accelerated school. There is an advanced math class for the 5-8 grades and the learning level is super awesome. Vista Del Sur Accelerated Academy is an amazing school and I highly recommend it for families living in laveen.Parent Review2y ago59 Reviews - Cheatham Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter was a student at Desert Meadows from kindergarten through middle school. Sadly, we made the decision to leave because the school environment became more discouraging than supportive. Over the years, I’ve seen a lack of empathy from certain teachers and minimal support for students with behavioral or mental health challenges. Despite being a long-time student with diagnosed conditions, my daughter was unfairly evaluated during a recent activity and made to feel excluded — with no transparency or understanding from staff. This wasn’t a one-time issue, but part of a deeper culture problem. I truly hope the school leadership makes changes so other families don’t have to make the same difficult choice we did.Parent Review7mo ago27 Reviews - Trailside Point Performing Arts Academy

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethis school is alright your child will learn here, at first before I came to the school. I was scared about the reviews because most of them talked about bullying, but after experiencing at first hand, there’s two sides to the story, which means your child might’ve done something to might’ve gotten bullied but I’ve just been neutral. The lunches by far are the best I’ve had in any school not the absolute best but it’ll do. Is a pretty demanding environment and kind of a lot of work and your child might get burned out sometimes but that’s what you have friends for, no child is going to like school overall the school is okay it’s good but there’s definitely better.Student Review3mo ago14 Reviews - Cesar Chavez High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter goes to CCHS and loves it. The teachers are communicative on expectations and have a thoughtful hands on curriculum. There are a lot of groups kids can join during and afterschool. They also have a college prep course which was really helpful.Parent Review6mo ago13 Reviews - Rogers Ranch STEM Academy

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school when comes to safety and curriculum. My kids did 3 years and then I decided to switch them out. Everything was awesome except the teachers here are rude. At first I thought it was one teacher but literally every year was a struggle with these teachers behaviors. I know it’s not just me because other parents have said the same thing. My children should not plead to stay home because they are scared of their mean teachers. My kids said they want to learn but going to school became a depression for them. I had to drag my kid to the gate and make multiple complaints about teachers. I even argued on the phone with one of them because she felt it was ok to yell and smack the tables. Come on these are younger kids. Paseo should really add the mindful program for teachers and students. It would also really help with some of the bullying. It’s really sad we had to leave this school.Parent Review1y ago3 Reviews - Estrella Foothills Global Academy

"it's a mix of older homes, with subdivisions being built. Most people keep to themselves and there aren't many children young enough to go trick or treating. Most people take excellent care of there dogs, occasionally one slips out of the fenced yard. Owner is normally out searching as soon as they realize it's out."

"Family orientated neighborhood with very good access to parks and sidewalk. Nice new homes that are pretty big and is very close to shopping centers on 51st Ave. and baseline. The new 202 freeway is nearby which allows access to other freeways. There’s a casino of 51st Ave. that is lit and lastly downtown Phoenix and Tempe is less than 15 miles away ."

"Laveen is a 47 sq mile area in South Phx (South Mountain) & has a horrible crime history. Please pull official crime stats from Phoenix Police. I've lived here for 6 yrs. It calmed down between 2015-2017 a bit, however, it now is a terrifying place to live. Over the last yr and half it has exploded with violent crime. Armed home invasions, armed carjacking in driveways & more. Don't move here if u have children. It also has some of the worst schools in Arizona. I'm escaping in the spring. "

"You would have to be insane to pay over $230k for ANYTHING in Laveen (47 mile area in South Phoenix) without massive acreage in this area. First, this was known gang territory for decades. There was an attempt to develop this area pre-crash, however, once the crash happened virtually all homes down here were turned into Section 8 or other low-cost rentals. Investors and realtors are driving up the costs down here (driven by California population influx) and it's not sustainable. Wages in Phx are not keeping pace at all. Moreover, the criminal element has never left. Pull crime stats report from Phoenix Police. Many areas originally slotted for re-development haven't been touched and are just drowning in crime and drugs adjacent to the newer communities. Sadly, I am seeing a lot of people who recently purchased down here with for sale signs in their yards less than a yr after purchasing down here. Laveen schools are some of the worst for Arizona. Laveen continues to be a dangerous place; the crime simply persists down here and this area is ripe for a housing market correction. Save yourself...look in Goodyear/Litchfield for the West Valley, Anthem for Phoenix proper, or Gilbert/Mesa East Valley for comparable pricing but much safer places for you and/or your family. "

"It is still rural yet close to freeways and shopping. New freeway will be completed in the area in 2019 as will a new mall and theatre that will be within walking distance"
