6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a field trip leader, I work with all the elementary schools in Vancouver. Chinook is low-need with a low reduced lunch rate but the kids from the lower-resource neighborhood schools show up better able learn and much better behaved. Parent and teacher engagement was low; only 2 out of the requested 4-6 chaperones showed up. The kids were uncooperative and this was the only group I've ever seen sit out on fun, interactive activities. They push and shove each other. This school seems to have a culture of chaos. The kids really struggle to settle to hear instruction, there are constant outburst and a number of them just disregard instruction and have an all around poor attitude. I would never send my own child here.Other Review4mo ago - Alki Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery good school with many GREAT teachers! The school can be a bit clicky, but Middle School in general is the cause I believe. I was very impressed by the communication with all the teachers I have encountered and LOVE that my kids WANT to go to school. Yes, my kids have a lot of homework every night, but it is manageable and they learn great time management.Parent Review8y ago - Skyview High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average8, students are wonderful, good community, great sports programs and clubs for students of all interests. That said students with disabilities and students of low income can struggle with the lack of support given from the school. Other than that an overall good experience with fantastic teachers who will be remembered foreverStudent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 3715 NW Seward Rd.

"It is advertised as pet friendly, but if you apply to view or talk to staff you will be denied because you have pets. It will also show you that pets are not allowed on the link. False advertising and extremely misleading information. Would not recommend for pet owners. "

"there is a lot of roaming space for dog owners and a couple small parks or fields to take and walk their dogs in. in the residential suburbs it seems safe enough to wall your dog at night and most of them are pretty well lit in case some negligent behavior behind the wheel or even walking for that matter."

"The commute to Portland is horrific. If you live here you should work here and not across the river unless you enjoy activities like slowly poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick. If you are working anywhere in West Vancouver (including downtown) I would say it’s a pretty quick trip. "
