Obviously Sue isn't too familiar with DANA GRAY ELEMENTARY anyone with a brain would know how to spell it since they are going to complain about it I saw nothing wrong with the school when my child attended there for 3 yrs maybe you should OPEN your eye's as for the PTA not having any involvement in getting it upgraded IT'S NOT THEIR DEPARTMENT!!! DUH

This is a great school, with an extremely dedicated staff. My son loved this school more than any school he'd ever attended before. One of the things I love is that so many of the teachers keep up-to-date websites, detailing homework assignments, current events, etc. His Language Arts and math teachers, Ms. Bishop and Mrs. Maurer were especially personable, enthusiastic and competent. Kudos to the Middle School for doing such an excellent job!

This school has not felt like a true partner to our family. Communication has often been reactive instead of proactive, and concerns are too often addressed only after repeated follow-up. In our experience, leadership can be dismissive, inconsistent, and more focused on defending decisions than rebuilding trust.Family engagement has not felt genuine. It has often felt like families are welcome only as long as they stay quiet and agreeable. When concerns are raised about student safety, special education implementation, or leadership conduct, the response has not felt collaborative.There are staff members at this school who care, but the larger culture has made it hard to feel confident that concerns will be handled with consistency, professionalism, and respect. For families who need clear communication, accountability, and strong support, especially in special education, this has been a difficult environment to navigate.

My son went to Kindergarten her (his teacher was Mrs. Douglas) and it was wonderful. Mrs. Douglas is wonderful! Everyone was kind, nurturing, supportive and amazing. The Parents club was (is) wonderful, and always had the children's best interest at heart. Mrs. Champagne is the best principal I could have imagined, so involved, excited, loving and caring. The emphasis on healthy children was wonderful. We were sad to leave this school when we relocated. We miss it a lot!
