6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIts funny, when reading reviews for anything you can tell who the winers are. I had two children go through WISD and my children couldnt have had two more completely different paths, but both would have said WISD was a great school. My son played all the sports, was on the honors society, middle of the road grades and my daughter fell into the theater crowd and was an average grades kid. The funny thing is my daughter thought she found her people in the theater kids.... only to find out mean kids are in every group. So yes, bullying is everywhere, and the school does what it can but you cant control everyone. If anyone complains about the school not helping I call Bull on that. Ive had issues and they took care of the situation. Wisd was an overall great school for both of my kids.Parent Review4y ago11 Reviews - Blue Hole Primary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDanforth has an amazing community. Almost all of the teachers are amazing, kind, and compassionate. They make learning fun. I’m currently a 7th grader here, and I haven’t dealt with bullying once. I’ve been called a name here and there, but nothing serious. The leadership at this school is amazing. Every few months, they’ll pull students into the cafeteria to just have discussions. The school does give out homework, but it isn’t an overwhelming amount. Most teachers let us finish it in class. I don’t really know much about how the school handles children with learning differences, so I cannot comment on that. I do, however, have a few complaints. I don’t think that the school offers enough ‘artistic’ classes outside of Band and Choir. Students are only permitted to take Art once, and they are not allowed to take Theatre until 8th grade. As a student who is very passionate about the arts, this is very disappointing.Student Review5y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 370 3g Ranch Rd.

"I don’t’ live in a neighborhood. I live on a 10-acre ranch outside of Wimberley center. I like it. I love the dark skies. It feels a bit isolated to me since there aren’t and music venues with the kind of music I like (alternative, post punk, indie rock etc, like you’d find in Austin or Dallas), and I find most of the residents here to be too straight laced. Wimberley is considered an “artsy place” by many, but that’s only if your idea of art is floral paintings, and country apparel. It’s art geared toward tourists. Not for lovers of contemporary art. Aside from many cultural shortcomings it is beautiful, with lots of great hiking and swimming. Everyone I’ve met here is nice, and at lest tolerant, which these days, seems like a miracle. "

"I work from home. So I don’t commute. I frequently drive to Austin via 290. Depending on the time of day it can be a grind, with all the roadwork, but tolerable I reckon."

"People keep to themselves I appreciate that. Don’t come over to say hello or anything like that and I hope it stays that way."

"We just moved here so we aren’t yet aware of all the events, but there is a great local spring that we swim at and local bingo near our neighborhood. We have a small dog park for the dogs too which is nice to have. All the neighbors are incredibly friendly and have been welcoming so far. "

"I live in a neighborhood that is five minutes away from where I work. I can go anywhere in ten minutes. H-E-B , Ace are some places I go to get food and supplies. "

"45 minutes into town. There isn’t public transportation but that’s one of the many reasons why I love it here! "

"There are always events hosted at local spots like Blue Hole or Emily Ann. There’s always Christmas on The Square, and Santa show up in an old-fashioned truck. The town also hosts a trick or treat on the square where local businesses setup booths and give out candy to kids. Ace Hardware hosts street dances and margarita nights for the community."

"I been around Wimberley for a long time, very long time... Seen the small town growing ever larger. I can remember when there was no traffic lights. Anyway, it's the beautiful views and wildlife that makes it special. And the flowing creeks and Blanco river that causes a relaxing atmosphere ."

"Wimberley is a great place to live. Lots of things to do, places to shop, things to get involved in. When you get tired of small town living you also have Austin and San Antonio close by for your cultural, shopping or nightlife fix. Wimberley is a small village, with a small village feel. When you go to a football game the kids run around without parents having to worry for their safety. It really does take a village here. I've seen a large number of clubs where people can get involved helping others or just having fun. There are a variety of churches available. The schools are great and the parents are involved. It's just a great place to live. Just remember that people in Wimberley drive at their own speed."
