Everyone there wants you to succeed and will go well out of their way to make sure you get the help you need. I loved the closer community offered by a smaller school. Most bad reviews here are from students who never really tried much and never reached out for assistance.

I am absolutely disgusted by Dayton intermediate school and Dayton elementary school. Our children are cattle to be moved along, if they're struggling or having problems then they are bad children not children who are struggling. They do not deal with bullying they buddy up . If you can, please listen, put your children somewhere better. Dayton is absolutely awful.

Office staff is clique, there’s drama between staff and parents due to small town gossip. A particular teacher holds resentment and has anger towards my special needs child which affects their emotional stability and ability to learn. I have been lied to about consequences given to my children by the principal herself. My kids have gone without lunch multiple times due to shortness of food and/or appropriate amount of time to eat. Once while having lunch with my kids I was shocked to hear the staff yell at the children to be quiet ( their social time) they were just talking, Not yelling or running around at all. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Is this a prison? Also, the school rewards kids for fundraisers (like pajama days) which causes jealousy for the little ones that are unable to participate and I feel it’s inappropriate and unnecessary.
