"I love the old, beautiful homes... There's plenty of awesome people living in them, too. My kind of people. ā¤ļø"

"Not a good family environment. Great sense of community spirit. The most beautiful houses and beautiful people in the city live here. "
  • Trulia User
"A dog park would be nice and trash cans and bags available through out the area so that dog owners can clean up "
  • Jenniferaguayo47
"Amazing, neighborhood feels right at home. Most neighbors are very friendly! great people lots of resources. "
  • Serenity
"Do not move into this area! It is deadly. Not a safe place to live. Lot's of gang activity and gun shootings. "
  • Val M.
"I lived on Park for two years and it was the worst 2 years potentially of my life. My car got broken into 7 times because I didn't have a garage to lock it in. I had children fighting in front of my house at all hours of the day adults screaming threats at each other and brandishing weapons... None of these people lived in any of the houses around mine either. there was a day my roommate and I are sitting on the porch and some kids started screaming racial slurs at us telling us to get out of his neighborhood. if one of us came home late, after midnight, there was a concern of a group of men who wanted the neighbourhood harassing women and some have said they assaulted a few as well, although my only experience was the harassment. I won't even drive through this neighborhood now if I don't have to."

"Don't move here. Too much to deal with, the people do NOT care. Had to buy a lock for my water spickett because people were stealing my water. "

"There is easy access to Mount Vernon Road or 1st Ave for car, bike, or bus. It’s also close to gas station and grocery stores. "
  • Terri W. h.
"we walk our dogs every day, sometimes twice a day! this neighborhood is very walkable and the tree lined streets with the beautiful old houses make every walk a treat. "
  • Terri W. h.
"The most beautiful old homes in town. well kept and the area is very walkable. close enough to the downtown area and yet close to parks and wooded areas to have some wildlife around."
  • Kattatude
"The houses and buildings are for the most part very old so the houses are all different shapes and colors, it’s interesting"
  • Marie
"i've lived in this neighboorhood off and on for 40 yrs. there are good, hardworking people here, but the gangs have taken over whole blocks. many of the children and teens have little respect for people or property. it is highly patrolled by crpd and yet drug dealers thumb their noses at them. you can't go thru one day without some type of disturbance needing police intervention. shootings have increased as have assaults and robberies. its an old neighborhood with lovely homes but it's not worth the aggravation, frustration and anxiety. "
  • Tsem1992
"I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 18 years and if you keep to yourself you will be fine. Most people in this area are looking to take advantage of you, it’s sad and I wish it wasn’t this way but it has been every since I moved here. And maybe it’s the whole city, I’m not sure always lived on the SE side."
  • Gregory C.
"Live and work in this area for 21 years. Most bad ratings are given by those that do not even live here."
