"Great communities near the beach. Lots of senior citizens. Some decent schools. Winters can be quite cold. "
  • Tomjkane3
"Anything that occurs in Bethany Beach, OC or Rehobeth. Schellville at Christmas time. Freeman concerts. "
  • Toni Marcantoni Mitchell
"Love our commitment because it’s small. We are surrounded by woods and have three ponds, pool, and located three miles from the beach in Bethany"
  • Trulia User
"Easy drive to the beach or inland. Close grocery stores and tons of places to eat out. Boat access is available as well. "
  • Debbie G.
"Very friendly neighborhood close to beach town and lots of restaurants-lots to do year round - little to no public transportation neighborhoods have transportation to beach areas Something for everyone "
  • Grammy
"Neighbors are out walking their dogs daily and we have very little trouble with droppings being left behind. All neighbors are polite and kind."
  • Tgsliwinski
"I enjoy the summertime concerts, proximity to ocean and parks, pool access, dog friendly, moderate weather "
  • Dazygirl5
"dogs are welcomed but there are no dog waste bag stations and people do not always pick up after their pets."
  • Mjhines
"My commute is very easy and is 2.5 miles. It takes much longer in summer but is never longer then 15 minutes. "
  • Fafitz13
"Started in the 60’s long before subdivisions and sewers came in. Sadly the mobile homes have gone they way of chicken houses. Now there are 2-3 story town houses replacing them. Can’t beat the privacy and view. Happy to have lived here for over 50 years before the great influx!"
  • Leahfedder22
"I lived here for 10 years love the area and all the daily shopping needs are close plus great neighbors and lots of kids for my kids to play with close to Rehoboth any of good not find a more central place to live at the beach which is 2.5 miles away."
  • michellecorrozi
"We have a great location, close to everything we need and just far enough from the hustle and bustle of beach towns."
  • Ann B.
"Check out Delaware, no sales tax, low low property taxes. Family oriented boardwalk and activities, clean beautiful beaches. "
  • Ewagman
"We looked all around the DE beach area for a nice conventional home in a marina community, important for our boat useage. We wanted something upscale, quiet, and close to the amenities, without any significant crime worries. We found all that in Whites Creek Manor, and were fortunate to find an available house. We have a boat slip with a lift a very short walk away, with an easy run up the creek into Indian River Bay. We can easily ride our bike to the beach, which eliminates beach parking issues. The supermarkets are very close. The community pool is well run. The population is mostly "life experienced", few kids that are not grandkids, but that is fine for us, our youngest finished college a year ago. They can enjoy nearby Dewey or OC's night life when they visit. Taxes are incredibly low compared to where we lived previously. Utilities are a bit more, but the low taxes more than offset that. We love walking around the neighborhood, everyone is friendly, and takes good care of their homes. If you are this type of person, you would love it here. "
  • Srosner8
"Great for families, golfers, tennis players, beach lovers. "
