About this House

2 Story 2 Bedroom corner Townhome with real spring savings.

These townhomes were carefully designed to make shared living a joy. You can get your own bedroom in a brand new 3 bdrm townhome with a real kitchen and great room for less half the price of a one bedroom micro-unit. Each bedroom is private with it's own closet, storage, HVAC and internet. Share with friends and save a bundle. More space. More options. And definitely a lot cooler.

The Temescal Muse offers a different approach to apartment living. It's not a building. It's a neighborhood of discrete townhomes wrapped around an Italian street scene. There are no corridors, only gathering places: courtyards, terraces, and private rooftop patios. Discover balconies large enough to dine or socialize on. These are townhomes with a personality...yours. We created a place, not a room number. It feels like a home because it is.

Small and friendly is the answer to big and institutional.

Each home has its own identity, designed with flexibility built in. Sliding walls turn a dining area into a media room, private office, guest bedroom, or nursery. Our 2 bedroom 2 story townhouses have lofty 10'-6" ceilings in the great room, with modern chef's kitchens featuring stainless steel appliances, plenty of storage space, pantries, and even guest powder rooms and baths. Upstairs are 2 or more bedrooms, with 1 or more full baths, generous walk-in closets, and a front loading laundry center in each unit sized for families.

Convenient, covered, secure parking is available for cars and bikes in the garage.

The Temescal Muse is connected to everything, even other people. It's a sun-baked Mediterranean Village within walking distance of the rest of the world. Three blocks to the dozens of restaurants and shops on Piedmont Avenue. Not to mention the Piedmont theater. Two blocks to the Kaiser Center. Four blocks to Bart and you are linked to the whole Bay Area. It's closer to downtown San Francisco than most of San Francisco.

Downstairs is "Bierhaus", a Mountain View favorite watering hole now coming to The Temescal. It's Oakland's word for "friendly" and everyone's "third space" for dining (with or without) dogs around beerhall tables featuring great comfort food, pizza, brat, and brew. Honest food for honest friends. Honestly. In fact, it's a place so good you can take it with you. Drop in on the way home to "Take out dinner" after a hard day work. It's like having your own chef and they clean up.

Why settle for ordinary? Call 650 892 4819 to arrange an appointment.

  • Dan G.
"Farmers market, local businesses, community pride, walkable to restaurants/bars, central location, bike lanes "
  • Ellie K.
"Safe to walk their dogs in certain areas. Not too many parks though, so no where to let your dog of their leash "
  • Terri K.
"This has been a nice neighborhood been is declining rapidly. There are too many new buildings going up and services suck! It dirty and crowded and way too expensive. "
  • Francisco
"We have regular break ins and muggings. Too close to bart and too close to the high school. Neighbors keep to themselves. Not the ideal place people purport it to be. Further from bart is best "
  • leigh
"Deep Oakland roots make this neighborhood special. Gentrification has gone too far though. But for now the community spirit is still strong "
  • Alikaseeh
"Sweet and pretty, filled with joyous people. Pretty houses, and lively community. Always looking for the weekend offerings "
  • Capndustin
"Things are constantly popping up. A new brewery, a boutique, restaurants, and it’s all easy to walk to "
  • P.B.
"There are lots of parks for dog owners to walk their pets."
  • Pamela S.
"The dog owners in our neighborhood love this area. We have a specific park where the owners can take their dogs."
  • P.B.
"I typically take BART into the city and back."
  • Pamela S.
"For the most part, there is really no commute to be had, as most people will walk the one or two miles to get to our neighborhood."
  • P.B.
"The variety of restaurants and the atmosphere on Telegraph Avenue make Temescal unique. The weekly food truck set up is nice. It is also close to BART while still retaining significant amounts of culture and atmosphere."
  • Pamela S.
"This area is unique mostly due to the diversity of the people. Also, there's so much to do in this area. We have a lot of businesses that are true to our community. The people here are very kind, warm, and very, very giving. We have weekend events, which include cleaning up the area, BBQs, and things for the children in the neighborhood."
  • Pamela S.
"We have fish ponds for the kids where they can fish, and we have numerous restaurants that are very kid friendly."
  • P.B.
"It is a relatively safe area for kids, but if you go west of 40th, it can be dangerous. There aren't many kids out in the neighborhood alone. There are not many families with kids—for example, on Halloween we do not get trick or treaters."
  • Larry
"Well kept neighborhood with schools and convenient shopping. Access to good stores and trendy bistros. Variety of Public Transportation and a neighborhood that has parking."
  • CVD
"We've lived her for over a year and we love it! Walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and shopping; walking distance to the BART, a 5 minute drive to Berkeley Bowl and easy access to the highway. Wouldn't live anywhere else in the East Bay."
