"There are other responsible dog owners that walk their dogs around the park. They keep them leashed and pick up after them. "
  • Noah Jeffrey
"Lots of negative bias about this city from outsiders, but it’s actually pretty great. Lots of park space. "
  • Marquitta Moss
"I thinks it’s pretty good 15-20 minutes or less to other cities I the area regardless of direction. "
  • Trulia User
"It is important for the parents because of this way could get more information about houses and departaments"
  • Trulia User
"Lots of dogs! Everyone walks their dogs. Most people clean up after dogs when walking them. Most dogs are on a leash with owners. "
  • Curtis O.
"The part of Brooklyn Center I live in is well maintained and very quiet. With that being said I would still move a little closer to downtown St. Paul "
  • Mywiah A. A.
"the diversity and peace. fresh air there are a lot of parks and biking places for children and elderly."
  • Tiffynnieepps
"Quiet neighborhood friendly neighbors i love this neighborhood and want to stay there. It is a good area"
  • Kristina Jehl-Collette
"I've lived her for 10 years, I love my neighbors. They are so helpful 😊. I'm not planning on staying for more years but I have liked living on my street."
  • Lauren_stensrud
"It is a very diverse community . Many families with kids and animals. There are are schools around and parks and play grounds. Also some nice walking paths like Palmer lake. Also a lot of things are conveniently close including gas stations , cub , car shops , and many food choices . "
  • Sue M.
"Schools are okay. My kids are grown so I don’t have much to offer for advice. The neighborhood has changed since we moved here 25 years ago but I don’t go out walking after dark"
  • Spunhunnie
"There is so much wildlife for being a first ring suburb. This summer alone I've seen sandhill cranes, great blue herons, egrets, great horned owls, raccoons, 2 bucks, a coyote, muskrat, and an opossum. Plus, the close proximity ro the river means I can bike there and fish whenever the urge strikes. "
  • jb400
"Lived here for quite a while. Not happy, high crime in the neighborhood. I am looking to leave this area. Many house break-ins in the past few years."
  • Phoua Y. S.
"This area is very quiet. 75% of the residents are retirees so their lawns are impeccable. It is so quiet. The neighborhood has a few rental houses but once the market picks up again hopefully it can attract some young couples with kids. Northport Elementary school just underwent some major renovation. "
  • Brendan J.
"We loved the house and nature here. We woke up in the moring to unbelievable sunrises from our river-facing bedroom and relaxed with friends in the evening at the firepit overlooking the river and island. Pretty hard to believe a place like this can exist so close to downtowm Minneapolis."
  • Craig H.
"I lived here for 10 years. I am a single man who had families and singles mixed in my neighborhood, as well as a good racially diverse community. I felt free to be who I am and I believe most folks in BC felt the same. I liked the lower to low income feel, we werent out to own anybody or make a show of possessions. We helped our neighbors if we saw they had a need. I hope I get a chance to move back some day! "
