As a parent of two alumni, I can attest that conflicts and substance abuse issues are inevitable; do not assume that a school with nearly three thousand students will be immune to these challenges. Nonetheless, the manner in which they are addressed is of utmost importance. As your child enrolls in this institution, ensure their participation in various programs offered, such as JROTC, culinary arts, and Dual Enrollment. It is essential to remember that your child continues to require guidance, and parents along with school staff collaborate to support the students' best interests.

I’m going into my third year at mayport and as far as their teaching system for advanced kids it’s great however, the school ignores and pushes aside multiple things like teacher putting their hands on kids and bullying. the school also promised a surf club and coastal sciences programs. in 6th grade i had half a semester of coastal science but that is the only class i have had involving that and if I'm being honest i can’t remember a single thing i learned. If students get put with good teachers and they find a good friend group mayport can be great otherwise the bullying of students and the non communication of teachers is very bad.

The school says they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to physical violence but my daughter has been hit and pushed four times now and the school constantly sweeps it under the rug. My daughter has been going to this school since second grade and I couldn't be more disappointed in a school or government employees. You can have a girl hit my daughter on the bus twice and instead of removing that girl from the bus you leave that girl exactly where she's sitting and you move my daughter to the front of the bus. My daughter the one who's being assaulted is the problem?? My daughter gets pushed down at the playground by another girl and she's told to quote just stay away from that girl?? Neptune Beach Elementary is the worst Elementary School. Fifth grade was supposed to be an exciting time for my daughter but because you guys had the inability to stand up for her rights to not be physically assaulted she is so looking forward to being out of this school.
