9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey missed the point of school. To learn and to teach. Staff and admin are too busy with politics and the social justice movement of the week to ensure their kids are engaged in education. This place is why private schools exist and I can't encourage anyone more in a position to afford that to do so, at least if they care their about their children learning at a school. As a single dad, I had one teacher in 5 years actively engage with my child, while their school "counselor" actively lobbied against me, even after I was awarded full custody in court. The place is a joke for kids.Parent Review11mo ago19 Reviews - Kellogg Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has a strong academic foundation, but safety systems—particularly around student behavior and transportation—could benefit from improvement. Effective schools don’t just have policies; they ensure timely intervention, documentation, and communication when incidents occur. Increased accountability and preventative measures would strengthen the overall environment for students.Parent Review1mo ago19 Reviews - Shorecrest High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are reasonably effective but college prep and post graduate guidance largely lacking. Communication lines between staff and parents is severely lacking due to multiple channels and inconsistent broadcasts. Important events and school related information often gets missed or lost in the morass of different emails, texts and social platforms. Facilities, equipment and amenities for in-school and after school programs is also lacking from the music programs to the athletic programs. Budgets and spending do not seem to be efficiently allocated. Ideological influences are also present at the school which guides curriculum and is often selectively emphasized certain cultural or gender groups. Overall, while the school appears to cover its bases in terms of basic education, Shorecrest has a lot of room for improvement to better meet the needs of students in the classroom and out of the classroom.Parent Review2mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 3534 N 182nd St.

"Sheridan Beach is an amazing neighborhood for families. It includes the Sheridan Beach Club, with pool, beach, picnic areas, playground. Homes in the neighborhood have deeded membership and there are wonderful activities such as easter egg hunt, 4th of July bike parade and celebration, swim lessons and swim team, live music Mondays in August, etc. Sidewalks, walking distance to Town Center and great nearby public schools (Brookside Elementary, Kellogg Middle, Shorecrest High School)."

"The best benefit from the area is the peaceful feeling you get when you leave the city and enter this community. It is filled with old growth trees, winding streams, parks, and peaceful sideroads. A great place to wind down an evening after a hard days work. It's a great place to commute to and from when working in Seattle, and a great place for families. "
