They expect your child to perform but at the same time offer a tremendous amount of support and encouragement. Both of my children are attending this school and both are learning Spanish. The parents are very involved and the care and attention this school gets is reflected in the culture and atmosphere to be found at Pacheco. The school requires parents to pay $600 upfront to cover the cost of the annual field trips. There is not a lot of allowance for lower income students to attend this school. The teachers and most of all, the principal, struggle to help students who need extra help and provide required accommodations. "Skate park is well maintained and a fun/safe activity for the local kids. Walking distance from many locally owned coffee shops which are a popular hang out spot for teenagers. Grover beach police are amazing, friendly, helpful, neighborly, and respond quickly. Only downside is lots of beach issues which makes this a very noise town due to fire trucks/ambulances frequenting the main access to Grover beach (grand ave) "

"I’ve lived here for three years and plan to stick around. It’s beautiful and quiet and close to the beach. It’s not as busy as Pismo but the beach is perfect and there is a walking path that runs along the beach to the Monarch Butterfly grove. "

"Life is good. The beach is in walking distance as well as the town of Pismo Beach and Grover Beach. Fins is very nearby for a cocktail and you can bring your friendly dog. Life is very good in this area. People actually respect each other. Peace and tranquility is abounding. I took my car to the beach and got very stuck in the sand. People of all ages helped me to get out of the sand. I was extremely grateful for their help. "

"I have lived here for over 12 years and I absolutely love this area! People are so friendly and happy. Who wouldn’t be with a blocks walk to the beach...prices are too high for us to survive here though. Must have a great job or be retired to live here. Sad but true. We will miss the coast and hope to buy here one day."
