6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy current experience as a freshman is alright. some kids bully me about me being bi and whatnot but id say thats just kids being kids, they ignore the urge to support us, which i get. teachers are nice if youre on their good side, and even if youre not, that would be totally fine. one thing id like to mention is that you get punished for defending yourself in a physical altercation as per school policy, which i dont really get. i was in a fight (yeah already) where i had to defend myself and i got after school detention. i see where theyre coming from but still. a little loophole i noticed too is that although tests are scheduled and out of control for teachers to decide when they are, they can decide when quizzes happen, which means you can have 2-3 quizzes in a day some days. however, i like the flexibility with scheduling, given the 1st-8th period or 2nd-9th period schedules, and that you can change your lunch period to fit your needs. overall a good school. not the best of the best but its still a nice school, especially considering it is a public school and not a private school.Student Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 348 Philip Ave.

"We have many activities at pool. Movie night weekly. Pool pArty, day and night times. Daily afternoon bingo and Wednesday night bingo. Many pool activities for children , water races. Pie, watermelon contest. Etc. They have a swimming and diving team where children compete against other pool clubs. There is a public school right in the development. For my children it was like a summer camp. During winter many children continue to swim and dive at Si college, JCC or Wagner college. It’s a great place to raise your children. "

"I have lived in Huguenot since 1969.I was a child of 12 years old when I moved here and have seen the neighborhood grow from mostly woodland and very sparsely developed to the very developed area it is today.It is close to the city,very clean and safe and the homes very well-kept.The housing stock has also improved over the years.Today,luxury homes are common place and pride of ownership very evident here."

"People drive too aggressively and put others at risk. Everyone is in a hurry. I see people on their phone and texting all the time. There are too many young inexperienced drivers on the road. The high schools are loaded with these drivers. "

"Commute wise, one word (Congestion) either way, if you work on the island, depends where, but if commuting into the city, 2 hrs. If you are going to pay $6000 in property taxes , look to jersey (north) or north Ny outside the city. More land , peace of mind "
