  • Britnee W.
"I've lived in sparta my whole life. it is a very friendly community and always has fun activities going on especially during the summer. it is a very mom and pop type community in every way. the good and the bad parts of a mom and pop community. safe, but slightly close minded. but that is slowly changing and people are opening up to things they dont know. and I think that is a good thing. "

"Our family moved from the North View school district (Amazing) to the Sparta school district. (Even more amazing) The teachers and administration are outstanding! The faculty truly try to discover each student's individual talents and capitalize on those talents. The focus is on learning, building self-esteem and fostering an acceptance of each other. Our family moved in the middle of the school year, a sometimes tough transition point. Fellow students and teachers made my boys feel at home very quickly. The level of communication from school to home, is by far the best that I have ever experienced. We had the option to choose Rockford Public through the school of choice program. We will not be pursuing this option. Rockford does have a great program, but my wife and I have been blown away by the highly talented teachers and focused leadership at Sparta schools. A smaller school also gives our boys the ability to be more active in extracurricular activities like football, baseball, band etc.. The larger the school the more challenging it can be to qualify for an active spot in almost everything. Sparta is running a well designed student and parent friendly program! Having over three acres of land is great but our neighbors and a warm small town feel make it home."

"This is a quiet area, not far from the action in Sparta, Kent City, Cedar Springs, Rockford and Grand Rapids. This home is very well insulated, so the heating costs per year are presentable along with the costs of Air Conditioning. The lot and the house setting gives the illusion of more space. Which makes this the ideal spot in which to come to relax and enjoy."
  • Nicholas G.
"Algoma Twp is a great place to live. My family moved out here from the city after having a child because we wanted a good rounded community for our son to grow up on. We got land, parks, trails, and events. There is even good country night life for the adults, or family restaurants during the day, and only minutes away from the city. There is also great public access lakes, and swimming areas for summer fun. Great fishing and hunting. This place has it all. Did I mention Golf? If you like golf, you picked a great spot!"
