About this House

A lovely cabin by the Tillamook forest, in the Sollie Smith area, north of Wilson River. 5min drive to Tillamook, and 15min to the beach. It is situated on the hilltop and enjoys unparallel privacy. A calm and quiet place.

There are three rooms in the house. One master bedroom on the upper level with ensuite bathroom and walk in closets. And the second bedroom on the main level with walk in closet. A third room could be a dedicated office. Open layout for the living room and fully equipped kitchen.

The house has an AC, wood stove, washer/ dryer. The house connected to the well water with a new filter system and it is on septic tank. It is recommended to get your drinking water from supermarket such as Fred Meyer. There is a water dispenser in house for bottle water. Garbage cans are set down in the road a bit, due to garbage truck would not drive up to the hill.

Due to its adjacency to the forest, there are sometime wildlife come visit, including mountain lion and black bear. Be careful with kids and pets if they are playing in the yard, or after dark. Landscape maintenance is NOT included in the contract. Tenant can choose to maintain for their own use.

One year lease and month-to-month after one year. Rent includes water, sewage garbage and electricity. Tenant to pay internet. Security deposit + 1st month due at lease signing. Pets charge additional cleaning fee.

    "I have lived near this neighborhood. I resided at 4th & Birch for three years. That is my target neighborhood. This is near my target neighborhood. I actually know some of the history of this house. Back in the day, this house was the hired hand home and the neighboring house was the main house in a farm, no longer there, obviously. At one time, this neighborhood was farm land. Many historical stories are attached to this home and neighborhood. The elders that have the knowledge of this history are dying. Whom ever owns these properties, I would encourage to seek out the elders/ keepers of wisdom and record their stories before it’s too late. J"

    "This is a small Dairy town. Elementary grades are divided in to three schools. then we have a Jr. High School and High School."

    "I feel safe in this neighborhood. My immediate neighbors and my family are very friendly and cordial. My child has many playmates to play with. There is a dry cleaner on our street. There is a grocery store, banks, credit unions, dentist, and library within walking distance. Also a YMCA and an elementary school nearby. The best Dr. in town has his clinic on our street and the hospital is near here. It doesn't get much better than this location. Most of the people on this street keep their yards nice. Everyone, save an occasional grouch, is very neighborly. I am very happy here, and I do highly recommend this neighborhod."

    "With not only miles of beach to explore, it also has the bayocean spit for many outdoor activities like hiking, dog walking, horse back riding, exploring. There is also Lake Meares for fresh water fishing, Tillamook Bay and the Cape Meares Lighthouse, all within walking distance. What a unique, beautiful area!"
