About this House
picture website: www.dropshots.com/3420oliveave
This three bedroom, two bathroom home is one of the largest and most nicest homes in the prestigious California Heights Historical district of Long Beach. This home has been updated throughout with great curb appeal, new windows throughout, a new fireplace, crown molding, recessed lighting, an updated kitchen with custom cabinetry, new granite counter tops, new GE appliances, and new travertine style floors. The first of the two bathrooms has been all replaced, with new top of the line fixtures, designer tile in the shower, and a beautiful glass shower door. The bedrooms are very spacious and clean. Down the hallway is a study/ family room that could be easily be converted back to a fourth bedroom. The master bedroom could easily fit a king bed, and also has a large closet for all of your clothes! The second 'master bathroom' (which not many of the California Heights homes have) is updated with a new window, new top of the line fixtures, and is updated from top to bottom. As you walk through the French doors off of the master bedroom, you have a very beautiful deck for some outdoor living. This deck is perfect for entertaining all of your guests! Also, off the deck is an expansive grass area, making two living spaces for you and your children! There is also a two car garage off the deck that has a workbench, that would be nice for storing and using your tools, or whatever you want! Overall, this home has been extravagantly done and has left no detail untouched!
Neighborhood Description
The Historic California Heights neighborhood is a very diverse, and family oriented neighborhood with many different kinds of homes, and styles. When you enter this neighborhood, you can tell it is different from all the other neighborhoods in Long Beach because of the wide streets, the distinct California Heights street signage, the special historic light poles, the gracious and mature trees (that have no affect on the sidewalks,) and the special attention to detail in the front yards. There are always people walking their dogs around, or just people out and about, exploring this wonderful neighborhood. The schools are top notch and are California Distinguished Schools. You have to come see this home to believe it! This home is situated right near the 405 for convenient access to all of Los Angeles and Orange County! Less than 1/2 a mile away are wonderful shops and eateries on Atlantic, where they have Togo's, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, Quiznos, etc.., making everyday trips around town, now very convenient! A few blocks away is the Lakewood mall and the trendy restaurants on Candlewood, which has undergone a renovation with a new two story Target, a new Macy's, Hollister, and other new stores. The multiple trendy restaurants on Candlewood include the Elephant Bar, Outback Steak House, Fudruckers, East Side Mario's, Russel's, just to name a few! If you desire to go a little bit further (but still within Long Beach city limits,) you can go to Ocean Boulevard, which now is home to a Art Museum, the Ocean of the Pacific, PF Chang's, and other wonderful places to see and go, including Long Beach's beautiful beaches. Wherever you go in Long Beach, this home is situated in the middle of all of what Long Beach has to offer: hot shopping destinations, beautiful beaches, and nice restaurants: this is all of what the Long Beach lifestyle is about.
