this school is rude disrespectful and racist , staff are under trained do not follow the stevens point school district rules and regulations have no respect for the future of this generation some techers are good most have no clue what they are doing.

AlumniI went to SPASH and really enjoyed my time there. Starting school as a Sophmore I was very dedicated and received lots of attention from the teachers. I felt engaged in the programs and had lots of opportunities to learn. However, when I lost interest in school I began to be ignored by most teachers. Looking back on my years there I feel this is not ideal but understandable. I should say that even at my worst there were one or two teachers who really cared and believed in me. These teachers are at SPASH. There are excellent teachers in almost every department, however there are also some pretty bad ones as well. McAdams, the school's football coach, was particularly atrocious. Overall a good school with lots of options but you get out what you put in at SPASH.

Washington Elementary lacks discipline and it caused a safety issue for my child. Another student had been causing issues for 3 years straight by using vulgar language and screaming at both teachers and students, throwing chairs, punching doors and lockers, and breaking glass. It was addressed with the school multiple times by multiple parents and it seemed like nothing changed. This student was not a special needs student and was fully aware of her actions. According to the school, they were taking “appropriate action”. The last straw for our family was when 2 incidents took place within 7 days where my child was the victim of this violence. My child, who generally loves school, was fearful to go to school. A police report was filed and the school district’s resource officer was supposed to contact me but NEVER did. I had enough and pulled my child from this school and this school district before my child ended up getting seriously hurt. If this school and the district don’t get discipline and safety under control, they could be facing seriously legal action down the road if this violent behavior continues to happen.
