"Nice maintained flat and hilled sidewalks. No trash laying around and lots of places to sniff / stop. You cannot let your dog off leash at the local parks. There is not a dog park in the neighborhood (yet). "
  • Ncarugno
"Tons of families and kids playing. Itโ€™s a great little area. Thereโ€™s an abundance of playgrounds and stores within walking distance. "
  • Joseph A Piner Jr
"Iโ€™ve lived in Glenolden for 5 years. Itโ€™s a nice little town. A great mixture of all cultures but sadly itโ€™s missing some cultural foods. I have great neighbors and the schools have really good programs for the kids to get into. My rating for this area is a solid 7, which is good."
  • Jony.raymundo
"Great area. Very quiet and the neighbors are also very polite and nice for the most part. Iโ€™ve lived here for over 3 years and it is one of the better places that I have stayed at. There are police also patrolling at night to ensure people are speeding or doing other egregious things."
  • Jony.raymundo
"Very clean area for the most part. There isnโ€™t a lot of crime in this area either. Iโ€™ve been living here for 2 years and I live peacefully. Neighbors are also great they keep their homes clean. "
  • Trulia User
"Good place for everyone to live. Good schools and opportunities for younger kids, good high school program and plenty of private schools as well. Great area for home buyers and people to rent also. "
  • Trulia User
"There are other dogs and most are well behaved. Their is a few parks in the area as well. Youll love it "
  • Near creek in the park

  • Trulia User
"Good place for middle class families as well as retired folks as well. Large park, football field, baseball diamond and a natural creek going through the park. No crime, a gym and nice small mall on Macdade boulevard. Nice place to buy a home and live here!!"
  • Trulia User
"Family oriented area. Good area to raise children. Good area to have well behaved pets. No sad or ridiculous crime or behavior in this area ever. Nice to visit friends and even better to live here!"
  • Trulia User
"Dogs are often walked through the neighborhood and are friendly enough to be petted. A couple busier traffic roads, a freight train runs close to my back yard. Generally good for dog owners"
  • Jennifer C.
"There are community days, events for kids at the library and park, and special flea market/craft fairs at the local high schools."
  • John P.
"Community events and how this community cares for one another. 4th of July and the things they do for the kids "
  • Skyler K.
"My neighborhood, every year this is something bad happening, the police donโ€™t do their jobs correctly and I donโ€™t feel safe walking out side most of the time."
  • Megpflynn
"You can easily access septa trains, trolleys, & busses from this neighborhood. My commute to center city is appx 35 mins & the commute to the sports stadiums is appx 45 mins"
  • Erin B.
"Plenty of walking areas to walk your dog and friendly people along your walk. Just make sure you clean up after your dog if it goes to the bathroom on someoneโ€™s property."
  • Alicia A.
"There are Parks and transportation readily available and friendly envious . Overall it is a reasonable place to live"
  • Rumande
"Used to be good but now with africa or Bahamas and itโ€™s a mess trying to get out ASAP Itโ€™s like someone is behind trying to flip it to a section 8 area "
  • Oladapo O.
"very nice area to live. quiet and peaceful. neighbors look out for you and your belongings. it is a safe area."
  • Shade L.
"Bus stops at every corner. SEPTA, bus trolly train, thereโ€™s so many stores in walking distance no matter where you are. "
  • Bessygirl63
"My neighborhood has access to public transportation and lots of stores. Walmart, Wawa, Shop rite. "

  • Label84
"Chester Pike and Mac Dade Blvd are a nightmare but aside from that, itโ€™s fairly easy to get around. I work two towns away so I rarely have to worry about traffic "
  • Barbara
"I've lived here for almost a year, and my neighbors are friendly and keep up with their properties. Only down fall is major roadway is closed so my street is the detour street with heavy traffic. which stinks "
  • Tlenahan p.
"Very tight knit community , mostly mix of retired couples or young couples with young children. Many children playing , ha sconmunity sense and feel. Great distance to shops and restaurants. Has neighborhood restaurant and deli "
  • Barbara
"I've lived here since August.. Traffic is crazy and lots of stop signs , but neighborhood has been nice "
  • Avianna
"Glenolden is a great place to live. Its peaceful, quiet and the perfect place for kids. It's very safe spacious and pet-friendly. If your looking for an area that is the opposite of a loud crazy city come to Glenolden. Like most neighborhoods Glenolden is not perfect. If you don't drive walking or transportation is difficult. Unlike the city it is spaced out so a pizza shop might me 7 blocks away. Unless you are willing to walk that far you won't be able to get it. Its transportation is ok. Not quick but not slow. There is very few bus stops or transportation. Overall I give Glenoleden 99.9 % almost perfect!"
