I have sent four children through West Middle School with a fifth one gearing up for sixth grade next year and we couldn't be happier. Two of our kids were on an IEP and one on a 504 Plan which we felt completely supported in and the staff have all been amazing and getting the kids the help that they need. There has not been one teacher that the kids have had that we haven't absolutely loved and the school gives off a strong community feel, which is a beautiful thing. My kids have all had strong friendships there with classmates, teachers, and done with administration, and the diversity of children my kids have befriended has been surprisingly plentiful. There are a lot of great kids at the school, the staff have been extremely supportive and helpful to my children's education, and as a parent with children of various needs, I feel heard and respected. Be BOLD, Be WEST!

Wayzata has been the best experience I could ever ask for from a school district. Our daughter started in the district Kindergarten and is now in 9th grade. We couldn't be more pleased with how this district handled both sports and academics through the pandemic and how they made sure our students were successful and safe throughout their shift into high school.

The principal and staff do a great job of setting high expectations, while providing students with the skills to achieve success. Both of my kids graduated from this school and were well prepared middle school.
