This school is over all just terrible. Very few of the teachers genuinely care about their students, especially when it comes to bullying and mental health. I've seen kids going around with fresh and uncovered SH and none of the teachers will say a thing, not even guidance counselors. I once brought to the school's attention of another student's attempts and SH and I had to bring it to their attention multiple times before they did anything. The guidance counselors do nothing to help the students, they either send them out or tell them to stop being dramatic even when the student is overwhelmed they only care about themselves and their reviews. There are also many teaches who just don't teach, they'll just put on a video and throw a bunch of work at you and expect you to know what to do and a lot of them take forever to even put in grades even after being reminded.

This school is a true gem in the Jacksonville Community. The small-school feel makes your kid feel right at home. The teachers, staff, students, and parents are a family that works together to provide each child with a successful learning experience. Here are a few of my favorite things about SPE:-"A" rated school since the beginning of school grades-Community-based traditions like Veteran's Day Ceremony-After school clubs for all students-Teachers that are deeply-rooted in the community-STEM resource days -Rigorous curriculum -Fun activities that relate to learning-PTA sponsored programs like Cultural Day

There are roach infestations and rats all over the school, constantly over flowing tollites and doors break when trying to open.
