I loved Jasper. Despite a lot of students' claims that the homework is outrageous, it really isn't, unless you procrastinate like crazy - I won't disagree that the work in Humanities you will be asked to do requires creativity and is somewhat demanding, but the amount of time and support that the teachers (shoutout to Stanton) are willing to give you is more than enough to have a satisfactory grade in the class. The fine arts here is great, and so are many of the other departments. HGAP is here is quite overdone compared to other schools where it's barely a class, but then again the AP 5 - percentage is very high. Sometimes there are weeks where tests are piled close together, but it really isn't too bad as long as you manage your time well and don't rely too often on cramming. Plethora of clubs and great teachers. I highly recommend it.

My son was enrolled at this school earlier this school year after a difficult time at previous two schools for two years. We had to leave Skaggs due to an unexpected event. But for the brief period of time while he was there, I have nothing but great things to say about Skaggs. 1. GREAT, MOTIVATED AND LOVING teachers, counselor and staff at this school. My son, to this day, still sometimes mentioned his 2nd grade teacher Alyson. She had left such a great impression and positive influence on my son! 2. MEETING ACADEMIC RIGOROUSNESS 3. EXTREMELY WELL MANAGED AND ORGANIZED it shows as soon as you walk into their front office. 4. CLASS SIZE IS APPROPRIATE no oversized class which really helps teachers and students in a very productive learning environment. 5. GREAT TAG program 6. GREAT ACADEMIC PROGRAMS. My son was academically challenged, really enjoyed the class and had a great teacher Alyson! As an educator myself for the past 11 years in Dallas, I must say this is a great school with dedicated people working for you and your child. You can't go wrong especially if you and/or your child are looking for a challenging and positive environment.

Plano West administration wants everyone to know that they do not make students follow any rules, but they will punish teachers for even the slightest mistake on the busiest, most important day of the year.Are you a student who wants to park in the staff parking lot every single day without any consequences? This is the place for you!Are you a teacher who wants their car damaged by admin placing an impossible-to-remove sticker and residue on their window because for the first time in 8 years of underpaid work, you have forgotten to place your parking tag on your rearview mirror in your haste to get to work 90 unpaid minutes early to wish your students luck on the AP exam you spent all year preparing them for? Plano West will do that for you!Are you a teacher that wants admin to ignore your emails until they need something from you, at which point they will ignore what you asked and demand you cave to a parent? Welcome on in!Are you a parent who wants to demean teachers, call them names, lie about them, accuse them of breaking the law, and ignore all evidence presented to you about what your child did while still having admin give you whatever you demand? You've come to the right school!The grade inflation is INSANE. Mostly due to the rampant cheating and AI use that PWSH admin doesn't want teachers to crack down on, because that would hurt their precious graduation rate.

The number of immature students writing recent reviews here appalls me. Rice is an amazing school. If you find a teacher to be 'harsh' or 'unreasonable' in grading, that is most likely your own fault - while I agree there may be a few unreasonable teachers in the lot, the majority are really very nice, helpful, and just great teachers overall. The fine arts, science fair, debate, math club here is top-notch : lots of support and success, great culture. if you're not spiteful and are willing to put in some work, come to Rice!
