"Great neighborhood for families of all kinds and ages. People may have different backgrounds but we all look out for each other and each others kids. The access to nature and the mostly quiet nights full of stars are priceless. It is one lane and lane off the peninsula - prepare for the road to be blocked for hours at least a couple times a year due to trees or power lines being down - other than that occasional inconvenience - it’s a lovely place to live. Also - folks really seem to like their fireworks ALL YEAR ROUND!!!!"
  • Laura Cilano
"Amazing place to raise a family. Diversity was lacking but that is changing bit by bit. Great restaurants, boutiques, and other unique places opening all the time these days."
  • Laura Cilano
"Great schools, very safe, fun, amazing access to nature - living here is a great place to raise a family."
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User
"Nothing to say here because I’m not a dog owner so I don’t know nor care what they say or think. About the dogs or their owners. They seem to walk alone. "
  • Trulia User
"great area, neighborhood is friendly, lots of kids, safe, great supportive community, beach town. close to main area and shopping needs for anything. schools nearby and easy to get to for kids and parents. close knit home town feel that every family can and should be able to enjoy. community has a Facebook page to keep families and residence up to date on safety, events, anything that might be going on in the neighborhood"

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years. Overall folks are friendly, there are lots of younger families moving in which is good. Some of the older families may keep to themselves, but for the most part people get along it seems "
  • Nellie A.
"Hit or miss mix of older unkempt homes, flipped houses, and first time home buyers/young families eager to get as close to Annapolis as possible with great schools and a pretty easy DC/Ft Meade commute. Has worked out great for us- we love it here and have made great new “adult” friends!"
  • oldtimer
"there is a Christmas Fire truck delivery, a fishing and crabbing contest. and pet contest. there are always Breakfast specials such as boy scouts, local crab feasts etc. "
  • Mary Z.
"Edgewater is a lot like Annapolis, without the high prices. Most of our neighborhoods are on the water, we have lots of good restaurant choices and there are a ton of dog people."
  • Mary Z.

  • 30yrEdgewaterian
"great water access community to have a family grow up. Good schools, plenty to do crabbing fishing, athletics, and small enough to have a clubhouse. Nice beaches and piers. "
  • Dianne
"Im retired now so I don’t worry so much about the traffic. But the traffic in this area is very bad!"
  • Mary Z.
"We're right off of Mayo Road, close but not too close to Route 2. It's so easy to get to 97 & 50. Just drive to the top of the street, take a right onto Mayo, a right on 2 (aka Solomon's Island Road), cross the South River Bridge and you're there. Close to everything. The best of a nice quiet neighborhood and proximity to Annapolis, Baltimore and DC. ☮️"
  • Dianne P.
"I have lived here now for 10+ years! Its a great quite family oriented community! Close to the water makes it a peaceful serenity place!"
  • Anna R.
"Several off-leash dog parks minutes away, side streets good for dog walking, tons of local parks that allow leashed pets. Although most main roads do not have sidewalks, so walk neighborhoods with care."
  • Anna R.
"Dog owners walking safely on side streets, large yards, dog park nearby, dog beach nearby, many local veterinarians"
  • Mary Z.
"4th of July at Beach 3 is epic! We walk down with chairs and a cooler and hang out all evening with our community. There are great little playgrounds spread throughout the beaches. Also piers and boat slips. A great variety of homes makes for interesting walks. The schools are excellent and Edgewater Elementary is to be completely renovated in 2018-19."
  • rob s.
"Great neighborhood with friendly families. The people make this neighborhood great. It’s a perfect place to raise kids!"

"We're just south of the beautiful city of Annapolis. That's the Capital of Maryland. Our community is on the water. There are actually 5 lovely beach areas. This is an up and coming neighborhood of single family homes. It's laid back."
  • Dianne P.
"There are a lot of people that walk the dogs regularly in this development. Maybe one of them I walk my dogs twice a day once in the morning with the evening! "
