5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMajority of teachers are helpful and have a lot of care for their students. Information in classes are relatively easy to retain when students put in the effort. Main problem with the school is the administration, college readiness, and safety. Administration wise, it’s mostly with Regina Montgomery. She’s known to go on long inappropriate rants towards students and staff over the intercom that include insensitive language and obsess over the idea of the schools “brand”. She’s more concerned with money and being stuck on traditions than making decisions that benefit the school and its growth, which is reflected in how its reputation has gone significantly downhill from the powerhouse it once was. Many students have also expressed not knowing how to prepare for college, especially ones that are first generation. While the school has a beautiful large campus, it is extremely open with little to no security compared to the past. They seem more concerned with whose car to tow from not having a parking pass than the safety of the school. There have been multiple times people have been able to come and go through the school, including a recent shooting. While I enjoyed my time at this school due to the teachers and experiences I had, there is a lot of improvement to be done for me to recommend it.Other Review2mo ago - Powder Springs Elementary School

The administration is very open to the parent community and the staff is passionate about giving the children a nuturing enviroment while focusing on academic excellence. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible terrible terrible this school is awful. Cooper Middle School has to be one of the worst middle schools in Cobb County. Starting with the administration all the way down to conditions of the school. The way they treat the kids and others are very unacceptable especially the 8th grade administration. The food look unappealing like something from a jail cell, and there is BUGS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE SCHOOL!!! The bathroom and some classrooms are unacceptable to look at this school makes me SICK!! And needs serious help along with some inspectors.Other Review4mo ago
