It has an older, more experienced staff that (for the most part) does their absolute best to engage their students and make learning fun! The classes are large, which is mainly because it runs the whole county. As far as students go, they are mostly nice people. They may be a little quiet at first, but once you get to know them they're really friendly. As for the bad kids, I wouldn't worry. The new administration at OCHS doesn't play games and addresses all problems as fast as possible. The buildings are kept clean and the school follows safety procedures to the book. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe had two children attend LGMS for five straight years starting in 2018/19 to 2022/23. Neither of our children experienced any of the negative aspects others have pointed out. Rather, I'd venture to say that both enjoyed their time at the school, as much as any child can enjoy middle school. They were both involved in SCA and one played two different sports. They performed well enough to be accepted into NJHS and into the Blue Ridge Governor's School upon entering OCHS. I will add that we did have some difficulties communicating with some of the teachers, but during our children's time at LGMS, COVID hit making it a tad bit more difficult to communicate with the staff. Did we love every teacher? No. Did we have to stay on top of some teachers? Yes. All schools have this issue, that is why it is important to remain engaged as a parent. "Wooded Lake & golf community. Gated, great security & friendly neighbors. Clubhouse on lake with dining and casual dining at golf clubhouse. Pool, fitness center. Grocery store, pharmacy banks, auto repair etc right outside security gate. Love it here!"
