5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended this school back in 2003-2006. As a military brat, I have moved around a lot and seen several schools. This was the best one I have attended hands down. Teachers cared and I excelled there. I transferred to another school in California and they noted how far ahead I was from them. I got into the gifted program. Funny, at this school I was just an average student but in others I was “gifted”. My mother passed away when I attended this school and the teachers were very hands on in trying to help my siblings and I through that hard time. I always reminisce to the times I attended this school and am working on trying to move back there so my kids can attend this school. 10/10 highly recommend.Other Review3y ago9 Reviews - North Whidbey Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAre you kidding me firing a school custodian for leaving 8mins early when he got there early, and talking to him in a manner that is degrading is disgusting, I would never hope any one would let there child go here.Other Review1y ago7 Reviews - Oak Harbor High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagehorrible. My student has been overly disciplined for skipping one class. The Associate Principle tried to have my daughter enrolled in the alternative school instead of working with her schedule requests and attendance issues. If I hadn't been on top of the matter, even after telling him that the alternative school was NOT an option, he would have been successful. Even the teacher at the alt school didn't understand why we had to talk to him, he'd told the Ass. Princ. and the counselor that she could get the same services at the high school. The Deans have tried to have her put in juvenile detention even AFTER she made a complete turnaround with her attendance and grades. There is a psychologist on staff supposedly but when my daughter mentions she's having panic attacks, she's sent home with a list of counselors in the community. She has never been informed or had the services of the psychologist offered to her. I've been told that my daughter's teachers all say she is disruptive when she's in class but NONE of them have ever reached out to me to discuss this or try to correct the behavior, so I honestly doubt it's accurate. The attendance secretary is nice but I've had to repeatedly ask her to correct records that she has marked wrong.Parent Review6y ago11 Reviews - Oak Harbor Intermediate School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt looks like a prison, and feels like it too. They lack control over their students so they try their best to be controlative and demanding which makes the students feel the need to either act out or feel insecure. Even the students say it feels like a prison, everyday I always hear students complain about how boring and suffocating it feels being trapped with school grounds. And the amount of fences all over the place doesn't help either. All of parents I have speaked with has also felt this way from a outsider view and as a parents who listen and take care of their child during their puberty stages. They have a lot of concerns about whether this school is okay for them.Other Review1y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 32650 State Route 2O #101.

"There are a lot of dogs, but limited space in the neighborhood to walk them. There are however plenty of parks in walking distance. "

"Lots of dogs. Well behaved. Not a whole lot of private space to run a dog. Sometimes people let their dogs out unattended."

"My neighborhood has great access to public transportation. Peak commute hours can be busy, add an additional 10-15 minutes to get where you want to go if traveling at those times. "

"Dog owners would like the freedom to walk leashed dogs in the area and the fenced yards of most home owners. They would not like the lack of enforcement when a dog is not well cared for or runs rampant in the neighborhood. "

"I live in a lower income neighborhood at my parents home while I look to buy a home. My immediate neighbors are extended family pretty much. They are elderly so I help them sometimes with certain chores. They’ve been our neighbors for as long as I can remember. People speed bad in the neighborhood and are inconsiderate of their music or the neighborhood kids playing outside. There is also a lot of drug use. Lots of traffic for users. They sometimes have drug induced psychotic moments at the bus drop out front of my house. A few weeks back one of the heroin uses who frequents the area nodded out and fell in front of a car. It was sad. The neighbor hood has always been some what questionable, but surrounding neighborhoods are like night and day! Not Nearly the same trivial activity. "

"Downtown has fairs, carnivals and events all year around. In July Oak harbor host boat racing in the Harbor. Christmas is fun the sewer treatment plant they put down town on the beach has Christmas lights on the crane. Most of the junkie homeless folk don’t attend the events and wait till latter to come out. "
