"The construction is HORRIBLE. the roads aren’t great either. Parking is bad in some neighborhoods but the views are nice"
  • Shawna Riley
"The construction is horrible but the views on the hill are nice. Sea world has fireworks every weekend in the summer which can be a bit much for dogs. But close to everything! "
  • Shawna Riley
"I live in coral bay and the parking is awful. There’s always construction so it’s not very pleasant. Nice view though "
  • Andrea Cohen
"It’s cool. Not a lot of families and not very affordable housing. It’s pretty safe and close to a great park. "
  • Trulia User
"It’s great to have such beautiful views, whether sunsets over the bay or sunrises across the canyon."
  • Trulia User
"8 miles into downtown, easy to get in and easy to get back based on leaving around 7:15am and returning around 4:15pm"
  • Trulia User
"Easy proximity to the freeway, beach, and bay. Close to major shopping areas like Balboa/Genesee. A lot of cars parked on the streets. "
  • Trulia User
"commute is easy being so close to major freeways, downtown, beaches, etc. BP is centrally located to most popular San diego areas"
  • Andie S.
"My fiance and I bought a house here a year ago, and absolutely love it! The neighbors are all really friendly and respectful, and a lot of vibrant young couples are moving in everywhere with young children and dogs. We can walk to some great parks, the grocery store, and number of fantastic restaurants and bars, and the commute is amazing. We are thrilled we decided to move here. "
  • Martha R. V.
"It’s a wonderful neighborhood, it’s centrally located, safe and people look out for each other, love living here :)"
  • Hiren P.
"Lots of dog owners walking the streets. There’s a nice neighborly vibe and have the dogs means people are routinely walking around. This helps security I think against petty crime "
  • Very_bored1979
"Don’t try to go south on the 5 in the evening/don’t try going north in the morning Overrun with annoying college kids who just want to party Homeless losers on every corner Trash everywhere Typical California I guess"
  • Victoria C.
"There are lots of dogs and many people keep their dogs on leashes and clean up their dogs waste. Dogs bring people together "
  • Sam.le
"It’s quiet and neighbors know and look out for one another. We have a lot of car break-ins from outsiders but our neighbors do their best to look out for each other even if they have yet to personally meet them. If something happens to one neighbor’s car, we make it our business to spread the news so everyone is aware. "
  • ST
"Not a bad place to raise your family but the Middle and High Schools are below average. There are a few really Good Elementary Schools but if you were to raise your kids in this area you might want to check out other school options besides public. Also boundary schools up and down Genesee do not offer a School bus unless you want to pay $500 a year. "
  • Twins M.
"My neighbor is good to live in. Has stores and nice views of the bay. Easy access to fwy and parks. "
  • Peg L.
"convenient to most places we go such as Balboa park, theaters, beach & shopping. most neighbors are friendly. Great views unless the mayor & city council decide to let developers make a huge profit by building high rises blocking everyone 's views."
  • Isaias R.
"there are 2 great nearby parks for dogs and kids and outdoor workouts for adults. one of the parks is the mission bay park. the other is by the skating rink and in between the middle school and special ed school"
  • Chris H.
"Friendly, quiet neighborhood with wonderful views of Sea World Mission Bay, yet easy walking distance to hiking trails, parks, local restaurants and wine bars."
  • Lrmoorer
"lived in the area for a year. love the little community. close to the beach but none of the congestion. street parking sucks though "
  • Jacquem1014
"Great location! Close to everything! Great views! Lots of remember deked homes! Properties retain their value and substantially appreciate in strong markets."
  • Jbsobelmfti
"I lived in this neighborhood for 6 years and watched it transform into a great neighborhood for young families. I definitely recommend it if you work in the area. "
  • Justin W.
"Love the area. Close to so much! Easy access to freeway and beaches nearby. Good restaurants, coffee shops, and new Sprouts walkable. "
