Beyond the Gallery leads to the ample kitchen that flows to the Amdega conservatory, imported from England with glass on all sides including the ventilated ceiling. The garden room and adjacent greenhouse are additional unique rooms with amazing views and access to the gardens. The primary bedroom is an oasis of serenity on the second level, with amazing distance views to the southeast, access to an open air deck, and significant ensuite with step-in tiled shower, soaking tub, three closets, plus a personal laundry. The second bedroom features a sitting area, two closets and an ensuite with sauna and access to additional significant unfinished storage (and potential living) space. The third bedroom is currently used as a private retreat and office. The one-level guest house is accessed from the main home from a breezeway off the foyer. Guests and family can enjoy their privacy with two ensuite bedrooms and shared living and dining space. The outdoor living spaces provide many options for al fresco relaxing and entertaining from the bluestone patios to the oversized screen porch with an 11 foot ceiling and stone fireplace. "Your days will be less difficult if you’re at all able to avoid the rush hour windows of 6:30-9:30am, lunch hours, and 3-7pm. The congestion is ridiculously thick, and at this point of heavy convergence: Fordham/15-501, Hwy 54E&W/Raleigh Rd, and an on/off ramp for I-40 less than 2 miles away, the roads are absolutely overwhelming now. Do expect traffic to quadruple (at the VERY least) as soon as just a handful of new developments reach completion. UGH!!"

"I nanny in the area, my two kids have lots of playdates and my neighbors are pretty awesome. The area is residential, no college students really, and a short 20-30 min walk to whole foods, traders Joe's or Harris teeter. There's also University Mall, and a movie theater so lots to do on a pretty day. I've lived in this area for 12 years. Raising a family here and I love it."

"They would fit right in with all the other dog owners. I’m not one though. Some yards need fences. Dogs are a lot of work, and sometimes your friends won’t want them coming along for dinner as part of the social contract. In short, I don’t want a dog, but lots of others around here do."
