5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth my stepson and daughter are sophomores at Katy High School and they've both have had excellent experiences. They are both in Pre-AP/AP courses and the teachers do challenge them and truly are getting them ready for college. The school spirit is second to none as well. I would highly recommend Katy if you want your child to get a great education in a nurturing and safe environment.Parent Review3y ago - Zelma Hutsell Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went there several years ago; the disciplinary system is absolutely awful. Punishment is dealt in laps during recess, which punish students unnecessarily (especially ones who didn't do anything wrong). I'm not sure if this form of group punishment is standard, but I certainly don't agree with it. Aside from this, the teachers are of reasonable quality and are nice enough, but the system of punishment as a whole needs to be rethought.Other Review10y ago - New Jr #17
