I walked to Elementary school and biked to Intermediate, Junior High, and High School. We knew all our neighbors on the cul-de saq our house was on. Yes, where ever there were rentals to college students there were issues - parties, noise, messy houses - but if you get a house on a street with out college studends, it was/is an awesome community. My parents lived there until just this year. Same house - and had many of the same neighbor/friends for 40+ years."
