Great school! Attentive and caring principal and teachers! We just love this school. My two sons (one in K and one in 3rd grade) are attending this school and we love the individual, personalized interest from the teachers as well as the admin staff. They care a lot about the academics, which we love, also the school wide function. We just moved the area from a 10 rating school district and based on our experience here so far PVES deserves even more than 10!

My son attended all 3 years here. I agree the school is safe, and there is not much in the way of mischief that seems obvious. I was very dismayed by teachers not using proper grammar, and in the case of the actual Englisj teacher, not having a very good vocabulary either. Even though proper grammar is not big in this part of Virginia in general, I do feel that the kids should at least be taught it, and that the English teacher should be teaching it (correcting paper etc) and she did not. My son would come home and I wold correct him and he would point out that the teacher did not care so why should he. I met with her and discovered he was correct. VERY disappointing. I think it leaves the kids at a disadvantage should they ever leave the area.

I loved TA, I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other school.
