6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur experience with Lee for the multiple years we were varied from year to year. There are some excellent teachers there and there are some horrible teachers there. We got our taste of both. One teacher seemed more focused on medicating our child than teaching our child and also favored one parent over the other - that was the horrible one. Other teachers were excellent and focused on encouraging our child and propelling our child to excel. As far as the staff goes - it is hit and miss. Some are fantastic and some leave you wondering how they managed to be qualified for their job. If you are a blended family, I would avoid this school at all costs. They are not prepared or equipped to provide a non-biased interest for your kids. We experienced staff members telling us they were "on our side" and staff members making it clear they were not. I suppose if you do not have any drama with any exes this school would be an okay school. My take from it is that they don't quite have their stuff together to handle any dynamic other than your ideal American family.Parent Review8y ago - Manhattan High School West/East Campus

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePulled our child out of this district, it’s not about teaching them but rather pouring politics into the students all the time. Constantly everything at this school is political, it should be about education. Sadly it’s not: We have lived everywhere in the United States and this school is the first time we ever felt the need to remove our child from an ISD.Parent Review2y ago - Dwight D Eisenhower Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school! My child is attending 7th grade here and loves it! Amazing staff, teachers, and administration. They care so much for their students at this school. Everyone, from the office staff to the prinicpal and vice principal, know my daughter - and everyone else - by first name. I wouldn't trade for any other middle school in town! Sometimes 'ratings' aren't everything.Parent Review11y ago - Check out schools near 3212 Valleywood Dr.

"I have 3 trucks so I can get there, anywhere, rain, sleet, or snow... and I also have 4X4 in each truck. But Manhattan uses round abouts and they don’t know how to implement them because they are all too small and a train wreck ready to happen."

"We've really enjoyed living in this neighborhood for over 10 years now. It's convenient to parks, grocery stores/shopping, restaurants, schools and trails. It's been a safe, great area for my kids and in the summer it is such a short walk to the pool. We are close to some major roads, but tucked back enough away that traffic isn't an issue. I love that they are adding some additional sidewalks and ammenities soon, too."

"This area is awful. Lots of crime and reckless driving occurs here. Avoid this area around The Links if you can. "
- Sandra C

"It has great activities for kids. Not so many language classes but a variety of other activities. Daycare is very expensive and there is a shortage of institutions."
- Trulia User

"There are many houses without fenced in backyard. Dangerous busy roads. And people not taking responsibility for owning a dog aggressive dog. "

"There isn’t much of any close community events if there are any in our neighborhood. We have done some things at the school, that about sums it up. Otherwise, we go to the public library and they have had some fantastic events! We especially love the summer reading program - for both kids and adults! "

"There are many families in certain parts of the neighborhood with a elementary school being close by. The schools playground is fun for the kids. A city pool is nearby, but doesn’t have great hours and is rented out for pool parties. Also it VERY expensive per person. There is a amazing park nearby, much better than the one by pool. "
