Highland has exceptional leadership with academics as well as athletics. The teachers go above and beyond and strive to bring the best out of each student. I graduated from Highland and after going to NUMEROUS different schools, I believe I received the most one on one attention at Highland than any other school. In addition, I believe that the academic program at Highland is more challanging than those provided inn larger schools. I have a child with a slight learning disability and the teachers and principal went above and beyond to help him succeed and that speaks for itself! Go Scots!!!!

We had a great experience watching our daughter go to school in the Highland School System from Kindegarten to graduating in 2011. The teachers were mostly good, you will never find a school that is 100% in that area. The kids were like one big family, without clicks and respected each other well. College Courses were made to high school level at an early stage in high school enabling students to get a head start. The new high school is absolutely beautiful. To let you know the way the students felt about the administration, when our daughter graduated, we watched each classmate on their own as they received their diploma's give the Principal (at that time- Mr. Dodd's who is now Superintendent) a big hug. That says alot. Very proud to live in Highland School District.
