Description

It is rare to find a flat, peninsula lot along the 26 miles of Lake Keowee. This extraordinary offering features views from every vantage point of this beautiful 3 level home with individual beach and over 500' of protected shoreline. At the end of the private drive, you are greeted at the entrance of this five bedroom, five and a half bath home with climbing roses and manicured boxwoods in the entry garden which provides two water views from the front lawn. A classic cupola, period lighting rods, chimney caps, and a large lantern are all custom fabricated of copper in a french style. As you enter the home, look up to see enduring elegance in the soaring beams highlighting the 23 foot ceiling and the gold finished Florence chandelier. Note the thickness of walls which echo those found in eighteenth century homes in France. Moving into the Great Room, you will enjoy the panoramic view of the lake and dogwood trees as you walk along the heart pine floors found throughout the first floor. French doors and windows are surrounded by decorative iron balconies custom made in the Czech Republic. There is a mix of natural materials and decorative paint finishes that work wonders to create the depth and dimension needed to make a large house feel warm and cozy. Enjoy a glass of wine and the lake view in front of either of the two cast stone fireplaces of the Great Room. Each Louis XIV fireplace soars 15 foot embracing this grand gathering space. Join your guests for dinner of 10 or more in the spacious Dining Room where you enjoy two additional views of the lake while admiring the antique crystal chandelier from Venice suspended from the beamed ceiling. You may want to have dessert in the Family Room on the terrace level in front of the cast stone Renaissance fireplace while enjoying both northern and southern views of the lake. The study, featuring hand-glazed cabinets and built-in bookcases, is a perfect location to read a book, watch the birds or simply gaze out at the water. The oversized Master Suite features water views on three sides with a jetted tub, tile shower, dressing area and electric shades. The kitchen features hand painted tile from Portugal and a large island. You may close the kitchen's french doors or leave them open for easy entertaining. The adjoining breakfast area offers built in china shelves and cabinets along with a private balcony for alternate outdoor seating. For those seeking a private retreat, "Petite Ferme" offers an oversized suite with sitting area, walk-in closet and en suite bath on the third level. "Guinevere" provides a master suite on the terrace level with en suite bath and three water views. "Chantal" offers two water views and a private walk in closet. Note that every bedroom was built to hold a king sized bed and offers a unique lake view setting. Off the terrace level kitchen is an eleven by sixteen foot room that is pre-wired and can easily be used as a wine cellar, exercise room, craft room, office or simply for extra storage. Also adjacent to the kitchen is a spacious activity room large enough for a snooker table or other entertainment. French doors offer expansive water views and access to the brick terrace and back lawn. The home theater includes a two-level seating area with a projection screen. "Finis" is a large bedroom with french doors, back lawn terrace access and water views. The full bath can be accessed from the bedroom or theater. The two brick terraces offer views of the lake and adjacent island. The large lawn can easily accommodate a pool or outdoor kitchen. The covered slip dock includes a lift, boat access stairs and storage. The three-car garage includes built-in cabinets, ample overhead storage and wall racks for tool storage. Additional parking is available on the terrace level. A true french style is best defined as authentic quality. A sophisticated mix of antique and modern touch channels a European style into this charming lakeside family home.

"In Oconee county/seneca there is a lot of family and it is a small town as of right now but everyone pretty much knows everyone. The “town” is getting a lot bigger and they are making it like city and and they’re 5 year plan is terrible if you are looking for a rural area but if you are looking for a urban area I would recommend looking elsewhere"
  • Arlene Sousa
"People are very friendly. The environment is beautiful. Southerners are very sweet Love the south"
  • Sheri Ellen
"We have many pet owners and is a pet friendly neighborhood. Been living in Seneca 58 years. Family is important! "
  • R Copps
"I’ve lived in the area (specifically the Village of Newry) for 9 years and I love it. Close to everything but far enough away to feel relaxed. Nice neighbors, a lot of improvements and community pride had increased."
  • Fox
"Neighbors are friendly and take really really good care of their homes and property. They clean up after their dogs and are extremely respectful "
  • Tara Patterson
"People come together to support each other during difficult times. The community is welcoming and there are many fun outdoor activity spaces. "
  • Shelley K.
"Just moved here and love it! Neighbors wave when you go buy. No one speeds and rarely do you see strangers unless they deliver something. Very quiet, but you can hear the stadium from here."
  • Dara D.
"This is a Lake community and very friendly people. A good combo of laid back like life and still near plenty of shops/restaurants!"
  • Jefferson B.
"Several people walk dogs past my house on a daily basis in the Bayshore community where I live. We know to watch for them when driving and wave from cars and porches. "
  • Brundage801
"it's ok if you don't live right in town. the mill area is not the best place to live or visit due to it being a high crime area. "
  • Brundage801
"its an ok place depending on where you live in seneca. The schools are good and shopping is always close by."
  • Erin G. .
"We’ve lived here over a year and it’s very quiet and everyone kinda keeps to themselves. My only complaint would be people tend to speed in the neighborhood and that does bother me since we have a child & dog so we tend to walk a lot. "
  • Amyhartgantt
"People are always walking dogs twice a day. Very dog friendly. Most people have dogs and some even walk with a golf cart "
  • Jefferson B.
"There ARE nice parts of Seneca, like the Bayshore subdivision (where we live), and neighboring ones AND there are "undesirable" areas, such as near downtown. "
  • Isom0314
"Neighborhood is a great area ! Awesome place to live, quiet and safe. Great place to raise your kids and have a family!"
  • Hugo Marques
"I enjoy being a resident in Seneca... Anything I need can be found in here: restaurants, car repair shops, supermarkets, pharmacy, medical assistance, good schools..."
  • Raeleigh W.
"There’s really not a lot to not like for a dog owner. Most neighborhoods have backyard space that is fenced in for the dog to run around, and you can walk your dog around the neighborhoods as well. One thing that they may not like is that there’s no where to throw away doggie bags if you pick up after your dog. Which, mostly no one would want a doggie bag trash can near their front yard, but it’s not like our neighborhoods have nice side walks to walk on, and even the park doesn’t have the doggie bag trash can. Other than that and people flying up and down the road, there’s not much a dog owner wouldn’t like. "
  • Hank N
"No side walk. So walking in the road with a few blind spots for drivers. Even tho it’s posted for 20 mph. People still go way too fast. "
  • Amy G.
"We are a Lake Keowee neighborhood that is nearly complete. We are close to town, Close to a county park and boat ramp, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. Boat storage around the corner. Everyone walks their dogs, waves hello. "
  • The Jensens
"I see a lot of people walking their dogs or kids around our loop. Dog owners seem to be mindful of dog waste. We've heard no complaints about any of the dogs."
  • Duaneg2017
"There's no community events, in this neighborhood. Mostly retired people, living here, with a hand full of young edults. This is a mixed race neighborhood, which every body gets along, with the exception of one, who recently left after beating up his livein girlfriend, he still owns his dilapidated home, but at least him and his drugs are gone for now. Where approximately 1 1/2 miles from shopping, which includes Wal-Mart, two shopping centers and a dozen diffrent places too eat and two gas stations within a mile."
  • Cngwatts
"Everyone always saves to each other. Kids play in the yards, ride bikes and Halloween everyone in town comes here to Trick or Treat"
